Flowers Vineyard & Winery is an absolute must see/must experience on your tour of Sonoma wine country. Just off Westside Rd (picturesque road which is worth a drive along its entirety), Flowers sits in a stunning location. Lots of great views and places to capture fantastic photos. Plentiful parking. Absolutely MUST get a reservation ahead of time and definitely recommend signing up for the wine tastings paired with the estate's food/bites (chef does an amazing job). The wine host absolutely makes your experience. They spend a good deal of time explaining the wines' origins and unique stories. There is such a great variety of truly exceptional wines at Flowers. We had a very lovey time at this winery. It's a pretty modern winery and the grounds are gorgeous. We called ahead knowing we were going to be a bit late and they graciously told us that they make note of it on our reservation. When we arrived, we were greeted with some rose while we waited to be seated. It was fairly busy on a Friday afternoon. They explained to us that the gardens were still being worked on so they'd seat us inside which was no problem. Our connoisseur, India was very friendly and engaging and walked us through the whole tasting menu. The chef inspired food board was delicious. I loved everything on it. And the wine, I loved ever since selection especially the Fort Ross. We ended up getting that and she even gave us the recipe for the candy cap cookies that paired so well with that wine. I really have very little to fault about Flowers Vineyard & Winery. The furniture is super comfortable, the experience is not rushed. Usually I turn my nose up at Sonoma Coast (it better be sourced from Sonoma or NV or else!) but I was pleased w/ the fruit. Big push for "I can't pour you other wines as they are only for members. You can sit in the other area, only if you are a member." I didn't particularily care for the wine and found them wildly over priced. Beautiful grounds and great experience walking to your own little cabana or table. You do get a plate of appetisers, which I don't believe helped the tasting as they were not selected for specific pairing (carrot hummus that tasted heavily of curry, over powering mushroom cookcookie, radishes, baby carrots, olives-ok the bread sticks and almonds worked worked). I would not recommend. There are so many great places in the area. Try Mcrostie up the street instead. read more

The wine was really nice and the grounds were beautiful here but I did have to take off two stars due to the service/experience. I had a group of 4 and we arrived on time for our reservation. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated which was ultimately subtracted from our 90 minute reservation. After being seated we had a very brief welcome and introduction to the winery. One of my favorite parts about visiting wineries is learning about the land, history and what makes the winery unique. Unfortunately I did not learn that here. The server seemed rushed and only came by briefly to drop off the wine. The tasting includes Chardonnay and Pinot noir which was very nice. I did enjoy the wine and walking around the beautiful grounds. A seasonal board accompanies the tasting which was very good - fresh vegetables, cheese and crackers. Ultimately this was a nice experience but I expected more from a service standpoint especially due to the cost. I was very surprised that they still asked us to leave at the end of our reservation time even though we were seated quite a bit late despite our on time arrival. read more

I had high hopes and I'm so disappointed because I actually like the wine. But the tasting experience was way below any expectations. First issue is that they didn't even mention the birthday celebration. It was on the card on the table but that's all. They asked about dietary restrictions. Only one of us doesn't do dairy. They removed dairy from everything. I don't know why they thought that was okay. Atmosphere: not cozy. No character. Cheap art on the wall and everything looks like it was put together in one day. $$: you get very little wine for the hefty price they charge. And bottles are twice as expensive if you get them there than total wine. This was the absolute worst wine tasting experience for both of us. read more

Such an interesting experience overall. We booked the Estate Vineyard Immersion and had four wines paired with four small bites. The wines were good, and the bites were small but delicious. The biggest miss was how the tasting was structured. They brought out two wines at a time, and within the first 30 minutes we already had all four wines (plus the welcome pour) in front of us. Stunning tasting room and grounds/gardens overlooking vineyards. Elegant chardonnays and Pinot noirs from the Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley. Reservations required. No pets or children allowed. Upon arrival, a path leads you through a grove of giant redwood trees to the entrance. Then you walk into a two-story blonde-wooded lobby with gorgeous flowers on display and a huge print of the Sonoma Coast. The mood is set! We were greeted in this spot with our welcome rosé and told about the vineyards on the coast. I love this welcome and their rosé, which is currently only sold to non-members in the magnum format. We were then guided up the stairs to our table on the main floor. If your tasting is inside, allow time to peak in all of the indoor and outdoor nooks and crannies! The massive chandelier, the live wood decorative bench, the flowers, the art, the chic warm styling, the outdoor kitchen/pizza oven, the gardens... The tasting included 2 chardonnays and 2 Pinot noirs (and the welcome rosé) plus a pretty shared plate per two people of locally sourced provisions: olives, veggies, hummus, cheese, crackers... these are light bites to accompany the wines. Very tasty but I always recommend eating before wine tasting. I'm not usually a Chardonnay fan but enjoyed the Sonoma Coast Chardonnay - not buttery or oaky but rather had floral notes and crisp minerality. I also liked the Sonoma Coast Pinot and Russian River Valley Pinot - easy to drink with fruit on the nose and palette. Our wine educator told us that the local Santa Rosa Junior College viticulture program students are involved with this Russian River Valley vineyard. Very cool! Staff are quite knowledgeable and attentive. The $75/person price point makes this a special-occasion tasting. Beautiful winery, the architecture is so eye-catching of course you want to take pictures from the moment you step onto the property. What I like about this winery is that it is very detailed oriented, the menu has your name, you are greeted with a welcome glass of wine and then depending on what reservation you booked, you our guided through the different wines and where the grapes were grown and it also is paired with the beautiful charcuterie plate that is well designed to fit your tasting. The bites that accompanied the tasting were also creative, but don't fool yourself into believing it's enough to replace a meal! I feel like I've visited almost every winery in Healdsburg and have probably been a member of half of them ... so why is this the first time I'm visiting Flowers? Well truth be told, my love affair with Healdsburg has been over for a few years now when I decided that California wines, while delicious, just tends to be over priced compared to old world wines. Still, Flowers has been on my radar for a few years and I was excited to finally visit. Their beautiful grounds and tasting room only opened in 2019. I loved that the tasting wasn't overly complex with half a dozen reds, whites and varietals. A rose to greet you when you first approach and then tastings of Chardonnay and Pinots. Easy and simple! The tasting came with food pairing which are as much eye candy as they are treats for the palette. While I'm not generally a huge fan of Chardonnay, the complexity and elegance of theirs is exquisite. So I had to break my own rules and buy several bottles. Love that the winemaker is a woman. I bought too much wine and now I have to figure out how to rearrange my wine fridge and my cellar to add the latest bottles. read more

This place is all about the aesthetic, from the seating and the views to the food and how it's presented. Everything was just so pretty and cute and made our visit so special. While definitely pricey, the service was amazing, and the food was not just pretty, it was delicious too! I also really appreciated their policy on bringing home the wine that we couldn't drink since practically half our group wasn't able to drink. There's a certain amount allotted to each party (I can't remember the exact rule), but since we didn't even come close to reaching it, we were able to bring a whole bottle home since that was how much we were supposed to have had in the first place! I would definitely bring visitors from out of town or anyone for a special occasion, just to feel pampered. It's worth it. read more

My boyfriend surprised me with a visit to Flowers over the weekend and I'm shocked that I haven't already come across this winery on Yelp previously! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. There is plenty of evenly spaced, indoor and outdoor seating (with cabanas!). The interior is beautifully decorated. So many great spaces for photos and just to enjoy a glass, or several, of wine. We were greeted at the door with a splash of rose before being escorted to our spot. We did a tasting of 3 wines that were all accompanied by a food pairing. The crab croquette with the chardonnay was *chefs kiss*. I'm usually not a fan of pinot or chardonnay, but all 3 of the wines we tasted were fantastic. I loved when you walk up they start you off with a rose , that was delicious and perfect for a warm day! We were seated in a private room , with personalized menus which made us feel special , it was a great touch! We also had culinary seasonal bites waiting for us that were organic but I would've been good with some crackers and cheese as well! The wine was okay, I think you pay for the experience and the location . I enjoyed the rose and Chardonnay the most and got to try an older pino noir . The grounds outside are picturesque. This location is absolutely beautiful inside and out , it has a modern look than any wineries I have been to . If staying in Napa , it is a long drive about an hour , which I felt was too far for me. I would recommend staying closer in Sonoma , Flowers was my first winery I visited in Sonoma county . I would recommend this location for a girls day , and rent a cabana and just hang out to drink wine and take beautiful pictures . Loved the instagram swing they have ! What an experience! Maia was a delight. Also, the woman working the front desk was exceptional. Her professionalism paired with her warm inviting energy was remarkable. First of all, the place is absolutely stunning. We loved the ambiance and decor-- Gorgeous! They aren't set up for spring yet since it is still winter season and we have a lot of rainy days, however, we sat in the covered patio and enjoyed the sunshine and the surroundings. We wanted to become members, but we don't enjoy Chardonnay and that comes in every shipment. There's also several other table areas and comfy couch sitting areas. When we checked in the reception didn't match the beautiful grounds. Instead of a welcome, Erica was presented with "we haven't received your payment yet." Hmmm. We were handed a glass of sparkling Rosé as we waited 10 plus minutes past our reservation time. Then escorted to our cabana. For $55 we had - 2019 sparkling Rosé of Pinot Noir 2018 Camp Meeting Ridge Chardonnay paired with a Moroccan spiced carrot soup. 2019 Sea View Ridge Pinot Noir paired with balsamic poached strawberry and goat cheese on a puff pastry 2016 Sea View Ridge Pinot Noir paired with roasted maitake mushroom on a tapioca cracker. Now the pairings were a bite or two at best. Hard to get the flavor with the wine. For the price we all agree it was a bit disappointing. And our host gave us plenty of time between pours, almost too much time. It felt slow. We felt the wines were fair. Just ok. The story behind more interesting. The grapes for the vineyard are grown along the coast. The restroom on the way out needed toilet paper and some tidying up. There is plenty of parking. Not sure I would return. read more

The venue is classy, modern and welcoming. We were given a splash of one Chardonnay upon arriving and escorted to our cozy spot. The small tastes were, well small, but meant to be a light bit pairing, not lunch. We had lunch before - good idea. Their wines are one the sorta higher price for here but they were tasty. We're spoiled, we live here so we have soooooooooooooo many choices. But we would for sure recommend this experience. The only produce about 200 cases a year so - get some if you love it! read more

We went for a tasting (think it was reduced price during COVID because it was only $45) that was an awesome experience overall and we couldn't have asked for much more. 1) The experience - Good service, not overbearing or too lengthy with descriptions of the wines etc., was great. The seating area outside was very distanced from other tables (good) and also very relaxing and comfortable especially for two people. really loved it. 2) The wines - this was the biggest letdown because we felt the wines were good but not great as their price made us expect. The rosé was nice and dry and the camp meeting ridge pinot were the best but for each of them we could identify a different winery that we have frequented 3) The area - we made an experience of it and parked our car there and went for a bike ride following the tasting. this was really fun and I would highly recommend. we were supposed to go south towards Healdsburg downtown but we took a wrong turn out and actually ended up riding for a while in the wrong direction. it was a very pleasant experience, nice and relaxing. read more

I was the designated driver so I can't comment on the wine, but the nibbles were first rate right from the garden fresh. Beautiful winery in the Healdsburg area. Pretty accessible by bike from downtown (which is what we did). Flowers was recommended by our concierge as a nice stop for lunch on our bike ride. There is a check in process (pretty standard during Covid) where you get a taste of the rose. After getting seated, the woman who took care of us explained our lunch package and asked whether we wanted the chardonnay or pinot noir. Each person gets a choice and a half bottle of what we choose. We chose to do one of each so we can taste both. This was a great choice, because both wines were delicious. The lunch was delicious. It was more substantial than a charcuterie spread but not super heavy, perfect for a summer day! There were two loaves of freshly baked bread (still warm!), an eggplant caponata, a beet hummus with crudite, a goat cheese tart, a salmon rillette, and some almonds. All the produce are local and organic. Highly recommend for a relaxing winery lunch. The outdoor space is very spacious (no need to worry about social distancing) and beautiful.
