Our son has had some health issues and the school was extremely supportive and made sure that it didn't get in the way of my son's learning and that he continued to excel. I love that the school offers outdoor activities during the day from recess (kids need time to just play!) to gardening to art projects and nature scavenger hunts. They also have an app that allows you communicate directly with teachers or administrators and sends daily photos of the various projects your child is doing. Additionally the school offers a host of enrichment classes (at an additional fee) which you can sign your child up for from soccer to karate to dance or piano. Now as my son is in his final year at Global Connection, he is already writing, starting to do math and learning how to read. He loves learning and is well prepared for Kindergarten. We love this school and will deeply miss everything about it next year. In short, can not recommend it enough!!!

When I was looking to enroll my 21/2 year old in preschool, I had 6 main requirements:…read more 1. Cleanliness 2. Warm & Welcoming Environment & Staff 3. Compliant with DCF rules 4. VPK Readiness 5. Diverse 6. Affordable And to my surprise, who knew this little preschool off of 1-95 and 151st street would possess all of the above. I am a very picky mother, which is why, it took me almost an entire year to make my decision. Below are the most important attributes that contributed to my decision: 1. Upon entering the location, I was not met with the smell of children's poop, mold, or a wet mop. Although the preschool can use a few modern touches, it meets the purpose, after all this is a preschool. There were no runny nose little kids. 2. My son has detachment issues and what impressed me the most is how inviting the director, Michelle, and the teachers were to him when we had the tour. The atmosphere was so inviting that after a few minutes my toddler wondered off and began to participate in circle time. Keep in mind that once I enrolled him, he still cried during drop offs. He was also shy with the other kids but within a matter of 1 week he started to come around. My once spoiled, stubborn toddler was exhibiting signs of independence such as he now had a desire and the ability to feed his self, he was no longer crying when I was trying to potty train him, and he was expressing himself more. "Mommy, I tired. Mommy that a circle. Mommy that a big dinsaur," were a few of the sentences he were expressing. 3. I researched the DCF provider tool and noted that this location did not have any violations for the past 2 years, which is surprising when compared to some of these more expensive preschools. 4. I researched VPK statistics as well. This center has had a 100% score for years. I could tell that this was not one of those "play all day" preschools/daycare facilities. When I completed my tour, all of the classes were being instructed, even the 1 year olds. The VPK children were learning advanced concepts and they appeared to understand the lesson. 5. In my son's 2 year old class, there are a good mixture of children from different racial backgrounds. Although, I am a black woman raising a black son, my aim is to raise a son that has friends from various backgrounds and I believe it starts when they are young. 6. Given all of the above, you would think that this place costs $200/week or above. Well, its well below $150, even with free breakfast, lunch, and snacks. I believe the key to this is that the Director has been in this line of business for several decades and is able to limit the amount of overhead that these new facilities deem as necessary when pricing our children's care. I'm not going to say the exact amount because while my goal is to acknowledge this preschool for its excellent service; I have another son that I intend to enroll soon and I don't want everyone beating down this place's door, just because of the price. In fact, so much so that at the end of the day, they don't have enough room to receive my other son when he turns one. (I know terrible, but the truth!). If you are a parent seeking the same attributes in a day care, then I suggest you give this place a try.

This is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Miami Springs. It is a Pre-K3-8th grade school. My son…read morehas been going to this school now for two years and I couldn't be more happier with my son's turnout. From the administration to the students, this school is a family environment! The administration staff (principal included) is very hands on and knows all of their students! The principal is out front and present in every setting. She is the first one there and the last to leave on many occasions. She's out front in the morning to welcome your kids to school at drop off and makes sure they get to class. If you need to drop your child off earlier and she is present, she will bring your kids in the office with her. I know because my son sometimes has to get to school early before 7:30 (drop-off time). She is a principal that cares and shows up! And that is important because I know some schools where the principal gets to school just before the bell rings. My first year at this school, I was so amazed at how nice and polite the students were! And I am talking about the 8th graders too! They welcomed my son and took him under their wing and looked out for all of the little ones. The teaching staff is great as well. My son has been blessed with an amazing teacher both years. She understands his struggles and is very patient with him to the point where this year he is functioning very well. This school allows therapists on campus granted they provide the proper documentation. I have never had any issues with having my son's therapist come to his class. The PTO committee is great as well. They host a lot of events for the kids and the principal is apart of that as well. Parents have to complete at minimum 25 volunteer hours. I think this is great because it forces the parents to be involved. Often times parents don't participate in the school functions besides what they have to but with these hours you get to be hands-on and have your kids see you involved with the school administration and other parents. I could go on and on about this school. I mean I really could. But i think it best that you give this school a try for yourself. Call the school, plan a visit and experience this hidden gem!

Ms. Tammy has been an absolutely wonderful teacher. She makes me feel completely comfortable leaving Asher in her care, and I have true peace of mind knowing she will follow my preferences and always do what is best for him. Her kindness, patience, and dedication shine through in everything she does. What means the most to me is that she genuinely loves and cares for Asher as if he were her own. I also want to recognize Ms. Mildred, who cares for Asher in the mornings and spends so much time with him as well. She is equally amazing, caring, attentive, and loving. Knowing that both Ms. Tammy and Ms. Mildred are there for my son has made such a positive difference in our daycare experience. As a parent, there is nothing more valuable than feeling confident that your child is safe, loved, and happy. I am incredibly grateful to both of these wonderful teachers and feel so fortunate to have them in Asher's life.

The only reason that I am not giving them 5 stars is because though the teachers and the staff are responsible, smart and good people not all of them master the English language. It has not posed a problem for my gran daughter because she @ 3 years old had total command of the English language before she got there and has lost none of it. She has learned perfect Spanish which we feel is a plus in this town that we live in. The cleanliness is impeccable. The common areas, classrooms, bathroom facilities and playground are very well kept and in spotless condition. The floors shine and are spotless. The Principal though very kind and friendly is very strict, running the school on a tight string, which is why it is as good as it is. To me everything is about management and she is managing it right. As far as academics my gran daughter is now only 3 years old so my main concern is that she is safe and well attended while away from us. She quickly learned her ABC's, numbers, colors, shapes, etc. They draw and do art everyday, they learn songs and sing and dance under the care of loving caretakers. The classrooms are bright and clean and never too crowded. The cost for daycare, anytime from 7 am to 7 pm is the most affordable in our neighborhood. The children are safe, the entrance is under watch, with two doors that you must go through and a very savvy receptionist always sitting up front. There are cameras all over the building including the playground and the front parking lot. My gran daughter is happy to go everyday. Not once in 8 months has she said she did not want to go to "skool".
