Gotta say, wasn't a great experience. They let $1000 walk out the door because they couldn't be bothered. For the several people working the floor, only one gentleman came to check on us while he was working with two other customers on fittings. Another gentleman, while we were clearly waiting for some kind of assistance as I sat in the chair tired from a long day and my husband standing next to me with suit in hand, asked if the suits on the table in front of us (which looked nothing like the one we were holding) were ours to which we replied no, and that was the end of that interaction. I'm not sure what the other employees on the floor were so tied up with, they were moving around and seemed busy but we were there, had a suit picked out and couldn't get anyone's attention. We would walk from one side of the store to the other but it felt like we were disturbing anyone that we came in range to speak with as they would rapidly zip around the store. This was not our experience at the Atlanta location when we purchased a suit and all the extras/accessories from them. Our decision to leave finally came down to our lack of confidence that if we did wait to see if anyone would attempt to help finish the transaction, there wouldn't be any issues following with tailoring or receipt of our purchase. Not one person even batted an eye at the fact we waited patiently for help, walked back to the rack to restock the suit my husband picked out, and started making our way to the door. Nobody. Not sure they even noticed. *Not sure why I'm even giving two stars. There were probably about 5 employees on the floor. One who was already working with two other clients doing fittings is the only one who checked on us so star for him and maybe a star for the cleanliness/selection, if I'm being generous. read more

Rude is the only way to describe the employees that work here. I walked in and clearly needed direction on where to go. The first man walked by me and said hi. Nothing more. The man behind the display case glanced my way and asked it I was looking for something specific. I told him what I was looking for and he pointed me in one direction. When I told him "tailored" wouldn't work for this person he sighed and said my other option was in the opposite direction but he doubted they had what I was looking for. He then turned and began chatting it up with the female employee. I did not see what I was looking for and turned to thank them for-well-nothing really- but my mama raised me to be polite. They didn't look up, say thank you, come back, etc. Never even acknowledged me leaving even though I passed all three of them standing together. I can tolerate a lot of things, but snooty, rude employees in a customer service industry is not one of them. Needless to say I won't be back nor willI ever suggest anyone else shop there. read more

My husband and I had a great customer experience at the Greenville, SC Jos A. Bank today. Compared to Men's Wearhouse down the road, it was more spacious, uncrowded, larger inventory, and the customer service was excellent. We did not have to wait for any length of time to get a dedicated staff member. In search of customized suit separates, Michael took lots of time fitting my husband, pulling a variety of options, and suggesting the perfect shirt and tie. He was so attentive and helpful. Even better, their prices were excellent - almost half the cost of a similar suit at Dillard's that we considered. Highly recommend. read more

I am not sure what all the negative reviews are for at this store other than all the complainers will complain and usually a satisfied customer jsut goes about their business? This year I purchases several dress pants, dress shirts and casual short sleeved collared shirts from JAB and have been very pleased with the quality, fit and response from my wife. She likes to pick out clothes for me, which is great! But the associate that attended us was very helpful with matching and pointing out various combinations for the items we chose. So, this weekend, first day of spring 2022, we hit JAB to buy a suit. The assistant manager waited on us. It was a busy day, so she was pulled into a few other directions for questions, but we never felt slighted in that process as we were helped by others in the meantime. I wound up purchasing two custom suits, four ties, two casual shirts and two dress shirts and some socks. I was able to use a few JAB rewards that I had accumulated from the first visit and got more than $75 off in coupons in addition to the sale items. This just happened to coincide with their semi-annual custom suit sales event. Who knew? Bottom line, unless the delivery from China gets screwed up, or the quality is less than previous experiences, this place met all of our expectations. read more

y husband and I were disappointed with the customer service we received at Jos A Banks. We came in for a tuxedo and made an appointment for a fitting. We arrived early and were told we needed to wait even though we were the only customers in the store. While that was a minor inconvenience, it definitely could be forgiven and forgotten had the rest of our experience gone swimmingly. My husband choose a Jos A Banks reserve line tuxedo, which is a great product. My husband needed to have some items tailored and we were given a date to pick them up. We were assured that the tuxedo would be pressed and ready to go. We called for two days and could not get anyone to answer the phone and no one returned our voice message. We arrived to pick up the tux and the stitching on the pants looked awful. They were able to fix it in store- sort of. While we are not completely satisfied with the tailoring of the pants, it was fine for the event we needed it for and I will take it to someone else to fix them later. The icing on our sub-par experience was the shirt needed to be pressed. It had clearly not been pressed yet. The sales associate took it to the back the press it and came back and told us that was the best she could do and that we should take it to a dry cleaners to get all of the wrinkles out. So... for his brand new tux, we now need to scurry to find a dry cleaners to have the shirt pressed. That is simply not acceptable and a very poor representation of what quality customer service should look like. We have two 17 year old boys that we wanted to have fitted for suits to take to college. We will be looking elsewhere where customer service is still a priority. read more

JAYLAN IS AMAZING. The one star is for the employee that acted extraordinarily unprofessional. I was returning a rental suit from a wedding. When I received the shirt it was missing 2 studs right out of the packet. When I returned the suit I informed him of this and he proceeded to call me a liar and told me I lost them. For a "professional" working in a formal suit fitting industry that is the laziest most unprofessional attitude I've ever experienced. I've never left a review in my life but felt beyond compelled to express this, and hope that employee learns to perform his job better or just change industries entirely. If negative stars were possible he would have -5. I didn't get his name nor did I even care to. Very poor communication skills, and will drive business away. Thank you again Jaylan. Hands down the worst service I've ever been exposed to. Very unwelcoming from the time you walk in the door until the time you leave. My phone Number was entered incorrectly so I was not called when I needed to pick up my first suit. So I gave them the correct number and they just decided to make the adjustment/not call about the second. The Store in South Carolina was RIDICULOUS! Why can I not pay for a suit over the phone with a credit card? We have purchased 9 suits for a wedding from this company and they wouldn't let us pay for one over the phone! What are we in 1970? My son was there in the store and when I tried calling them to ask them why they would not take a card over the phone, (They had no way to verify?) she wouldn't pick up the phone. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! DO NOT GO HERE! This is not my first go round with the staff here but I decided for convenience to venture in and purchase: 6 pairs of Traveler's pants, 1 suit, 6 Traveler's shirts, some ties and perhaps a pair of shoes (for my husband and kids) First, when I walked in there were 2 customers...one in the back with a clerk and one at the front picking ties...the clerk at the front did not even acknowledge me (the one at the back didn't see me). There were 3 clerks..the third one was off to side behind a desk bebopping to the music...he looked my way and looked away. I finally found 4 pants and had some questions about size, the clerk with the ties was busy with her customers but also had time to roll her eyes when the customer was goofing off a little...still ignored me. No, just a minute, nada. The girl in the back was busy but Mr. Beboop was now in the back room steaming or whatever, he looked out glanced at me went back to whatever then walked out to the floor where he went to a station and I thought he was busy. Then the girl in the back walks up and puts her head down a second. Mr. Beboop asks her about her trip....at which time I put my items down and walk out. To be fair I think she probably accessed the situation but between Ms. Ties and Mr. Beboop I was disgusted with the rude staff. If this is the way they treat their clients they must not need many and certainly they don't need my business. read more

If I could have figured out a way to rate this store zero stars I would have. Visit One - A pleasant visit with a reasonably nice employee. I place an order for four suits that needed to be ordered online. Mistake number one was not trying a similar style on in the store. I'll take part of the blame there but I don't buy suits everyday but Jos A Bank does sell them everyday. The wait for help was about 5-10 minutes. Visit Two - I'm younger and probably less affluent in appearance that other customers. That is my only guess as to why I had this experience. I waited 20 minutes before someone brought me my suits to try on. They were not even close to fitting an the most important area. By about 1 hour later we had reordered better fitting suits online again. Visit Three- Like the other times I entered was told someone will be with me soon. After about five minutes an employee did get my suits that still needed to be altered. I was asked to try one on and he'd be right back to mark for tailoring. I waited 20 minutes as multiple employees walked past me. After this wait I asked the original gentleman if getting suits altered there cost anything if the suits were purchased at this location. The fact that it does cost money didn't bother me at all. But, it meant that I could just take my suits and not spend another second in that store. I took my suits and now need to find someone to get them altered. Themes - No structure to the store and assistance provided. More than a handful of times I was told they'll be right with me in just a minute. Every single time they must have forgot. This is true of all six employees I encountered in this location. Each time I was told that this wasn't usual... my three visits seemed consistent. I can't even begin to fathom how they are in business. The problems here aren't a single employee or one policy. There are serious systemic issues that I hope no one has to go through the terrible experience that I did. An absolute train wreck in every way possible. I like the suits but not even close to worth the agony of dealing with this Jos A Bank. Update: I bought another suit there and the experience wasn't great but better than the first. We went to Jos A Bank to get a suit for our wedding. The staff was very unwelcoming. Nobody approached us on the sales floor. When we found someone and asked them about the current sale, his only answered our questions with short, curt answers and never offered more information. We were treated as though he didn't believe we could afford their clothing and therefore not worth their time. We promptly left and went to Men's Wearhouse where we were treated kindly and with respect. We proceeded to spend $800 at Men's Wearhouse. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE! Jos A Bank warehouse sent me a shirt for a wedding that never actually arrived and I needed help...fast. The manager (Kevin? - sorry!) and Antonio were able to help me out by finding the exact shirt and charging me the discounted rate that the shirt was initially paid for by the groom. They were not the store that the purchase was initially made at but resolved my situation quickly! Yes, Jos A Bank (Virginia store) initially messed up my order by mailing to the wrong address but I was extremely pleased with the service at this location. Thank you! read more

I had Banks Greenville rated one star, but called the manager on my issue with a shirt that shrunk about an inch in the collar. The manager, Derek, did say that store would replace it. I've bought 30+ shirts at Banks and never had issues until this one. So thought my neck had grown. Salesman measured my neck to confirm shirt size. It hadn't changed. So they said I needed to go to Belks and buy collar extenders. Normally this would be ok, but it shrunk over an inch (I measured against others I had at home.) They would not replace it. I asked for manager's number and they told me when to call. I've had alterations done here and they were speedy and well done. They helped a good friend with button holes in a coat as well...so 4-5 stars in that department. I'm very glad I called and ask to speak to the head manager, because if not, I would not return. read more

So I needed 10 suits for a wedding. I call the greenville store. I ask the price, the guy says $350. Ok fine. I ask can he work with me if I buy 10. His reply "....uhhhh no I don't think so man". I say excuse me? He just was very nonchalant. ehhhh. So I call spartanburg- he said yes sir, I can do it for $99 each. Bingo. Called back to Greenville to ask why he didn't do the same- said he didn't work on commission and didn't care to save me money. read more

This Jos A Banks has terrific service. I was in Greenville for a wedding and forgot my suit pants and came to this location hoping they could help me out. The lady who was there was able to find the pants that matched the suit exactly and get them hemmed in less than an hour, and they fit perfectly. She saved the day! read more
