THEN, we learned that the shirts aren't actually even made in house and instead the store owner simply takes measurements on site and then sends said measurements to a manufacturer in China and then you as the customer have to wait months if not an entire year for the Chinese manufacturer to ship you your shirts. They even tried to cover the name of the Chinese company who manufactures the shirts on the box but it was easily removable. They should be ashamed of themselves for saying that this is a bespoke custom tailor shop. VERY disappointed!

Our daughter is having a destination wedding in Little Rock and NONE of the girls live in Little Rock, including the bride. This hasn't deterred Charlee from getting us everything we need to move forward, due to her knowledge of dress styles and designers as well as her relationship with other stores. An example...our other daughter is not a sample size, as most of us aren't. Because she lives out of state and her local Bella Bridesmaid shop did not have a larger size dress for her to try on, the owner called all over the US to get a specific dress in her size and is having it shipped to our daughter's local store! She works tirelessly to ensure customer satisfaction and does it with a smile and great attitude. She feels it's her mission to find you what you need...how cool is that? She also set up an online dressing room of sorts for my daughter's bridal party. They can review the dresses the bride suggested, the colors, etc. FANTASTIC! We were greeted by the staff upon entering. We walked around for a few minutes and couldn't find exactly what we were looking for, so we asked for assistance. The gentlemen who helped us was great. He was attentive, asked questions and suggested different items based on our needs. While he was looking, I looked at a few items for myself and found a beautiful navy cashmere jacket. Loved it! The young lady also helped me find a couple of different shirts to match my pale pink loafers I purchased for myself at Cole Haan. Our experience was wonderful and we will return.

However, I have not yet received my order nor any indication from shipper as to when to expect product or how to track it, or even verification that my order was received by them from Splashwear (SW) and is in progress. I called SW to check on this, as the initial confirmation of my order did not include a timeframe. They seem to not realize that a customer might expect this kind of information, even if the product is being shipped from someone other than themselves. SW acknowledged being a bit overwhelmed, even while priding themselves on being a very small company (and offered to research my order and get back to me) - good for them, and I wish them success, but am baffled as to why there is no standard provision in their procedures for this basic information, nor apparently an understanding why, lacking this information, a customer might feel as though their order has fallen into a black hole. Covid short-staffing possibilities at manufacturer/shipper may be a real factor - but the apparently-standard lack of information seems like it would be fixable, once SW realizes that basic customer expectation.

Also, it's good to be able to get gear when you need it. While in the store today, I heard the staff joking about flatus of some other customer. The staff concluded the person with flatus had serious health issues. It wasn't I who passed gas, but I was thinking that customer could still be in the store (a 2 story old house). They don't know how much business they just lost by insulting customers. I decided not to buy any gear here. As a spot check, I compared a Camelback that sells here for $150 to online prices. Online it was $90. Again, it is worth supporting local outfitters. In this case, the markups were too high & the service was lacking. I had been in the store for some time without being greeted or offered shopping assistance (came in to look at Hobie catamaran gear & possible gifts for a group of teenagers). The staff took time to discuss flatus, but didn't have time to say hello.

I'm new to Little Rock and stopped by several local "outdoor stores" with no luck because they essentially only sell clothing. Luckily I found "Ozark Outdoor Supply" that actually stocks "gear." This store had everything I was needing plus knowledgeable staff that were fun to visit with while shopping. The expedition was successful on Cotopaxi and Chimborazo. I thank Ozark Outdoor for their help. I look forward to going back and getting the scoop on the local outdoor scene.
