I booked an appointment online at Jos A. Bank for my husband's Valentine's Day suit fitting. I accidentally selected the wrong date, and when I called the store, I was told no one knew how to change it and that I needed to rebook online. The system would not allow me to modify it, so I ended up creating a new appointment under my name instead of my husband's. When we arrived, we were greeted and assigned to a young associate. While he was polite, it was clear he needed more training. He had difficulty locating the right suit jacket and did not ask about preferred material, style, or fit. I ultimately had to step in and select better quality and style options myself. After directing us to the fitting room, he left to assist other customers. I noticed another associate assisting a customer nearby, and he was excellent. He measured his client, discussed styles and alterations, and was very attentive. After my husband tried on pants that were too long for his liking, I asked that associate if we were supposed to be measured. He said yes and even suggested a more tapered pant style that would better suit my husband. He then informed our assigned associate of what we needed and encouraged him to assist us properly. From that point forward, the service improved. Overall, the experience was okay. I do not believe anyone intentionally dismissed us, but I did book an appointment with the expectation of being assisted throughout the process. We received the rudest responses from a lady named Cathy, when asked if they sold a particular shirt. Without stopping her displaying of men's ties, and without turning to look at us, she said, "NO!" We were SO insulted! Thanks to Sheranda, who offered to help us as we were leaving, but that was our first and last visit to that store! I have not been met with such rudeness in a long time. If I could give these guys 0 stars, then I probably would. My brother decided that he, his 8 groomsmen (me included), and the 2 fathers would rent all of our tuxes from this location. We were each sized in different Jos A Banks around the country, but we all stopped in before the pickup day to try our tuxes so that we could adjust anything that needed adjustment. That should've been enough, but I guess rentals are more difficult to handle than that? Only one out of all of us had a correct size, and none of the rest of us managed to get it fixed even after more than one trip back! My brother (the groom) came back 3 times after his first fitting and they still couldn't get his shirt right! Then the manager tried to play it off and even said "It's just one day, nothing special"...I'm sorry, but it's his wedding day! In the end, I gave my brother my shirt (it was the size he should've gotten all along even though they told him that it wasn't possible) for his pictures while I ran back to the store to get him a more correct shirt. To his credit, the manager got us the shirt. But, it shouldn't have gotten to even that point. Oh, I forgot to mention...the one tux that was correct...the button fell off right before the wedding procession...no joke...the guy had to use a last minute safety pin for the ceremony. We mentioned all of this to the assistant manager when we returned the suit. They only said "Sorry...our distributor in Atlanta isn't great." Wonderful news, but seriously? Bottom line - DON'T EVER RENT FROM THESE GUYS!!! read more
