I love shopping at Ollie's for the great prices and unexpected finds, but what really impressed me was the customer service. During last week's severe storm, the power went out while I was checking out with two bottles of paint glazing medium, and everyone had to leave their purchases behind. When I came back to purchase them the next day , the items couldn't be found and there had been the only two bottles left. , Desiree went above and beyond searching the store for them, apologizing, and genuinely trying to help me find them. We knew they had probably been put back in the wrong place. A couple of days later, she personally called me to let me know they had found them and were holding them for me. In a world where good customer service can be very hard to find, the employees at Ollie's on Greensprings truly stands out. Thank you for caring enough to follow through. This is one of those stores, where I usually have no idea what I'm looking for going in. After I'm here I find things I may want or need. But to give you a basic idea, they carry a lot of dried food (like chips, crackers, and cereal), kitchen items (bakeware, utensils), bedding, clothes, books, and even paint and flooring. Needless to say, you never know what you'll find here. Besides an impulse purchase of wasabi peas, I don't really do my grocery shopping here. Their food just doesn't scream fresh to me and most if not all of it is processed. Their clothing/sheets also don't seem to be of great quality. Nevertheless, I believe there are deals here if you look, I have bought some decent cookware here that would have been way more expensive at a Bed Bath and Beyond. So overall, I would say give them a shot if you're bored and in the neighborhood. read more

This store can be a bit overwhelming because they don't have signs to guide you through the store, and the last 2 times I've been in there's not a lot of associates working. We came in to get my daughter an activity set that I saw in there weekly ad. I stopped by the register to ask the cashier if she could point me in the direction of this activity kit (I showed her the ad in my phone) but she had no idea where I should look. My daughter and I walked down different isles looking for this kit....still we weren't able to find it. I then saw another sales associate and asked her. She then told me to look on the left side of the store and it should be on one of the end caps.... WRONG. We just found a couple of paint sets so we got 2 of those. As we were headed to checkout I happens to look down an isle and saw the activity set that I came for. They were totally out of place. Actually they were sitting on a shelf near the cards.... Needles to say they have decent prices but the store can be hard to navigate. read more

Overall, I would recommend this place. Unlike the chaos and mess you might find at other thrift stores, Dirt Cheap, etc. this place was very organized. There's a BUT: the deals weren't that great. The prices were similar to a "normal" store but with 20% off. Nothing was that great of a deal that would make me want to come back. The employees were helpful and nice. Overall, if you want something in particular and have time to browse, I'd say to check it out! read more

This place wasn't kidding about the awesome bargains that you'll find on name brand products. It's a new experience every time I'm here because it's always something different. They have tons of comic books for those that into collecting them and many food items and snacks that there prices you can't beat compare to other stores. There's so much items you'll won't know where to start, but I always have an idea of where I want to start every time I come here. The only issue is the parking lot isn't as big so just make sure you don't bump your car into other vehicles. read more

Finally made my way in here a couple of weeks ago...and was so glad that I did! Like many "bargain" stores, you have to really dig around and find the true deals...but when you DO find them, they are awesome! Stocked up on pool supplies (at less than half the regular cost) and some awesome rubber patio pavers (also about half price.) Great selection of pots, gardening tools, even laminate flooring and rugs. The food section did not seem to offer as big of a discount as other sections. Like that you can sign up for their free club and receive 15% off your next purchase, as well as random 15% off certificates throughout the year. Only reason for not being 5 stars is for the clutter of the shelves, which is kind of what tends to happen in bargain type stores anyway... read more

I always find something here that I like, and everything is crazy low priced. I just picked up a Copper Cooking set for under $60 and got an additional 10% off. Also, a good place to car cleaning supplies - I picked up microfiber cleaning rags and mitts for the low. They got a ton of nice floor rugs here too. I've heard for some time now this place has unbelievable bargains. Stores are popping up all over. My wife and I made our way over today looking to score some storage bins with our eyes peeled for these tremendous deals. Yea so this place looks like the entire store fell off the back of a truck. Like if I buy anything there I might get called in for questioning. We found a couple storage bin options. More expensive than Walmart and they smelled funny. Other deals were more expensive than normal pricing at Walmart or Target. I do not doubt if you're not looking for anything in particular you may run across some great deal on something random but the amount of crap you have to sift through really makes me wonder if it's worth it or not. I personally didn't find any great or amazing deal nor did I find a reason to go back. The sign shows close outs and buy-outs and overstock but today's inventory more closely resembled salvaged from a dumpster. read more
