Cannot thank Jo enough. My Wife and I were travelling with our baby from Sacramento to Los Angeles. Our front driver side wheel was shimmying and we had oversteer on the freeway. We pulled over in Chowchilla and I kicked the tire, to see the whole wheel loose... We pulled into Jo's at about 45min before close. Jo cleared his rack given the situation we were in and found the issue within 5 minutes. Our home mechanic that performed an alignment just two days earlier missed a loose bolt/cracked bushing that left the whole suspension wonky. He also found a crack in the center support bearing. These were all caused by a transmission mechanic that recently rebuilt our tranny and failed to put the control arm assy back together properly... Jo replaced the bushing and fixed the issue on the spot, getting us back on the road. Jo was considerate, professional and very fair. If I lived nearby he would be my go-to mechanic. read more

We got stuck in Codorniz campground with an overheated car, called many places to see who can i tow the car to and work on it in the same day. jorge was the only one willing to do it. He tested the car and made sure it was not overheating anymore and charged us only a minimal fee. read more

Worst place ever, took my car in to get a ticking noise fixed which he replaced the cams. After that it all went down hill, broken pieces of the belt, belt is frayed, broken connectors to the coil packs, ABS system keeps blowing a fuse, multiple misfires, this guy said he was with ford for 40+ years, im not sure how. Never will I recommend him or goto him to fix anything, avoid it and go to Fresno or Merced. read more

This place will rip you off BIG TIME! I called to get my transmission replaced and I told them I only have $1400 can you do it within that price... They told me they would call back looked up all they need and said yes they can. He told me he will need 1/2 the money up front so he can order the part- I said fine so I gave them 1/2 and left my truck- a few days later I called and asked about when my truck will be done, he said they had the transmission out of the car and was waiting for the new one. So about a week later I called and Jo said he had some bad news that the job will be $1700 now because they cannot get the transmission for that price!!! What was I to do? I had to say fine, so he finished the job and when I went to pick up my truck the 4x4 light was on, so I told Jo he said it will go off in a few miles- I took it out of the lot and it was shifting awful So I took Jo for a ride, he said give it a few miles and it will go right... So I took the truck, a week or two later I had to have it towed from Fresno because it over heated and continued to downshift- I also noticed that my dipstick was wrong way too small for my truck and transmission fluid was comming up the dipstick. I had it towed to Jo's $150 more for the tow Jo does not pay even though it is his fault- all my linkage was put in backwards. Another week goes by- I get my truck back, the transmission leaks, it does not start in Neutral and shifts hard. they keep it for a day and call me to pick it up, nothing was done. I take it back they fix the leak but nothing else- I dont pick it up they say it is the Neutral safty switch I pay to have it fixed but it still has the same problem now it only starts if you move the shifter leaver and it leaks again- they said they will call me when they get a dipstick for me it has been three months the guy Jr. left it on my transmission when he sent it out also my sensor was left on that is why the 4x4 light was on. They dont automatically adjust... as I was told by Jo. So I had my Neutral sensor adjusted by aquinos accross the street, but it did not help the linkage has to be adjusted inside the transmission is what another mechanic told me... I will take it somewhere else. I really should call the board of auto repair on this place.... I will give Jo a few more days for my dipstick. read more
