What is not acceptable is that he showed up, completely misdiagnosed the issue after a few minutes, collected his fee and left. He said it would take a few days but took no effort to follow up, whatsoever. He blamed my son for not continuing to call him... we fixed the issue ourselves. Meanwhile, this person took umbrage with the negative review and became aggressive with his responses and texts to my son. I'm shocked that yelp allows legitimate negative reviews to be removed... this should be a "mobile battery charger" service and not a mechanic.

All this to say, we I took the car to Ruben's. I'd rather pay them instead of Toyota service dept. Within 30 minutes, it was determined the fuse was blown, replaced on the spot! We figured it was the fuse per what we searched online. But Toyota service dept wouldn't even discuss it Wanted to share and give credit to Ruben's Automotive. We have taken our vehicles there for a while and always receive excellent service and reasonable $$. I paid less than peanuts for replacing the fuse. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Even though I paid all upfront fees at signing and later paid the actual registration deficit myself at a DMV Kiosk, Madera Toyota still used predatory practices to demand an extra $1,301 for penalties they caused. When I called to sort it out, Finance Manager Roberto Sanchez and Assistant GM Joshua actually doubled down, threatening to trash my credit if I didn't pay in 15 days. I was eventually referred to Esmeralda, who finally zeroed out the fake balance over the phone, though she kept making excuses and claiming it wasn't their error. Worse yet, now that the balance is zero, they are straight-up retaliating against us. For over two weeks, Esmeralda and management have completely ignored my emails to unlock my dealer portal so we can use our paid Portfolio Maintenance plan at a shop closer to home.
