Because I tried to explain everything going on rapidly before she advised me and because I mentioned what we read on US government websites (that didn't coincide with what she said initially, out of confusion) she said I don't listen, she acted short, and she made me uncomfortable on the phone and in person. When I told her I felt she was too harsh and asked if she could change that at our next meeting she continued to complain about my behavior and told me if I don't like her to find someone else. She claimed I didn't let her speak and argued with her, which wasn't true. I was simply trying to explain the whole picture before she advised me and I was trying to clarify what I read on the US government website. Instead of explaining kindly she insulted me, walked away, and handed me a printout while sounding arrogant, rude, and judgmental. It doesn't help that my family struggles with neurological and mental health issues and she was completely narrow minded, assumptive, had unrealistic expectations, and treated me poorly for issues in thinking and behavior that were both natural (like panic, worry, confusions, and fears) as well as issues beyond our control (ASD, ADHD, etc) She even told me she was a parent to children with special needs so I was shocked when she behaved so unaware, un-evolved, unethical, and unprofessional. She showed zero concern, remorse, or desire to take responsibly for her own arrogant, assumptive, rude mistreatment of complete strangers looking to her for help and support. This attorney definitely shows no emotional intelligence / understanding. Beware, there will be no compassion or kindness from this woman and she will accuse you of things that are not true. I did not argue with this woman. I did let her speak when I was done explaining the situation. And I did listen to her. They were very quick to ask for money (an insane amount compared to other places but they were promising a quick case closure.) very quick to ask for all our paperwork, ID's and everything the first time we sat down. After that, BOOM, NOTHING. We spoke to multiple different assistant that had us send the same paperwork multiple times to PERSONAL EMAILS and when I would call back they would say they didn't have any of it and that person no longer worked there (again, multiple times). After 7 months of calling to make our payments and being told there was "no update" on our case, I asked for a case number from USIS (something you receive as soon as your paperwork is sent in) 3 WEEKS of me calling everyday and them saying "we will call you back later" until i showed up to there office and sat there until someone gave me an explanation. Waited for 1.5hs to try and speak to my lawyer (who i have not met to this day), was told by the office manager that he would look up my case and find out what was going on. Come to find out NOTHING WAS EVER SENT IN and once again we were asked for ALLLLLLLLLLL our paperwork. At this point we had been promised our case would have been basically closed and nothing had been done. fast forward 3 months later and we have yet to sit down with our lawyer. we were told we would be meeting with Cristine in July and it is MID AUGUST.
