I sent him a bill for my expenses to finish the job and he never paid it or acknowledged receiving it. Nor has he volunteered to refund money paid up front for work not finished. Some of his work wasn't very good so I had to correct that too. I give this company one BIG ZERO for a rating. I don't care what past good ratings he's gotten. If you hire him don't pay him everything in the beginning even if he says that's his way because in the past he's been stiffed by customers not paying the full bill at the end. He diagnosed the problem - some hack wire-splice job done on the fan motor itself that fried it. He got a replacement motor quickly and replaced it to ensure that it would last without compromising its functionality.
