Not sure why any lawyer even considers her an option for GAL or any judge for that matter. Would you take your car to a mechanic who has reviews stating customers paid but never heard back from the mechanic? How about a restaurant that you pay upfront but never get your food? This GAL will take your money and never give you the report you need to move your case forward. She NEVER turned in her report in my case and it took two years for her to be officially released from the case. By that time my kids had been at a "temporary" home for TWO YEARS resulting in me not getting to see my kids because any argument between lawyers kept referring back to the guardian et litem report. Mine saying we should go with the final judgement that remained (I had full custody of my kids) while the opponent kept denying their return because they NEEDED the GAL report even though the return wasn't pending the GAL report. If you want to delay your custody case inevitably or possibly lose custody of your kids completely after being awarded them in court, feel free to hire Cheryl Duffy. There are two other reviews similar to this one that weren't allowed to be posted by people other than me that gave their money to Cheryl only for her to not complete her job. She should be investigated but I'm pretty sure she's still being handed cases to this day.

She took my retainer fee and was MIA for several months. Would not even return emails from my attorney. She did not complete an investigation. Never contacted my children's counselors who they had been seeing for over 2 years. She did not even show up for trial. Judge could not even believe it. She was not released by him from case so why didn't she show.. please anyone looking for GAL do NOT retain Cheryl Duffy. This definitely is not over and this mama is not giving up on fighting for her children and their well being and safety.
