I came to Dr. Houseman after leaving another practice in the Antelope Valley for not feeling like I was receiving the treatments I needed- I was still experiencing pain and knew I needed a good chiropractor. (I started chiropractic at the age of 19 for low back issues related to sports injuries.) I found Dr. Houseman from internet searching and decided to give his office a try. I am SO GLAD that I did! Dr. Houseman is not only extremely knowledgeable and experienced, but he really takes his time upon intake to make sure all of your needs are addressed. I appreciated his thorough assessment of my various back issues. When I went back for my report of findings after my assessment, I was shocked to see the state of my back in the x-rays he took. Clearly I had let myself get completely out of alignment and my disc space was suffering. Fast forward only a couple of months later, after following Dr. Houseman's suggested treatment plan, my chronic pain was almost completely gone! Additionally, I discovered I was pregnant during treatment and Dr. Houseman not only adjusted my treatment accordingly, but also educated me on the relationship between pregnancy and chiropractic care. I came to him when I was 9 months pregnant to get adjusted to help the baby come through the birth canal faster and boy did it work he aligned me since I was cricked and I had an 8 hr easy labor and this was my first kid. I also brought in my newborn when she was a month old to get her checked out! He looks at her reflexes and spine and makes sure she was aligned properly since she went through the birth canal. Growing up I was a very sickly child, and would catch strep throat with tonsilitis at least 4 times a year from toddler age till I was 20. At age 20 is when I went to see Dr. Houseman for low back pain due to being in gymnastics and taking some prettty bad falls. As I expected, he completely relieved and rid my low back pain.
