I am a 47 year old woman very active at work and mom of 2. My days are always on the go I manage 55 employees. I can not afford to be sick or have any pain. I was in constant pain for over 2 weeks and would wake up in tears every night. The pain and ache I felt on my shoulder, neck and back was radiating down to my elbow. For 5 years I endured pain in my left trapezius shoulder due to playing sports and weightlifting. I tried massages, acupuncture, fire cupping, and chiropractic sessions. None of these sessions cured my pain. The only thing that seemed to help alleviate the pain was laying on the floor using a spiky hard foot massage ball and rubbed it between 20-30 minutes every week until I burned the skin and got bruises. My pain caused more stress for my back which led to neck pain and it got to a point that I couldn't sleep, sit, and walk because I was always thinking about the sharp burning pain sensation. Last year, I decided to try a different Chiropractor. I used Google and searched for a Chiropractor specifically for sports therapy and saw Dr. D who listened to my concerns and he instantly knew what I needed. He mentioned the Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) which is also known as scraping your skin. Try searching in YouTube "Scraping Massage" to learn more about it. I was so impressed about his recommendation and he mentioned my trapezius had a deep fascia knot which is why none of the sessions or therapy I tried worked only the spiky hard foot massage ball. I was so used to rubbing my trapezius because I was rubbing my deep fascia knot. All I needed was one session of IASTM. I decided to go for it and it was the best thing I ever tried. Dr. D cured my left trapezius shoulder and he also scraped my left neck which I didn't know it was very tensed and had lots of small knots. It's been a year since I tried the IASTM, I never got neck or left shoulder trapezius pain. Thank you so much Dr. D for curing my left trapezius knot pain. I'm still going to continue to see Dr. D for a chiropractic adjustment. He is the best Chiropractor I've ever seen. I highly recommend him to all my friends and family. Dr. Dueunas is hands down the best chiropractor I have ever been to. His knowledge is extensive, his care is top notch, well spoken and polite. I am very impressed with his abilities and willingness to put the time and effort in each appointment to bring me relief. I have had back and neck issues for more than 10 years and this is the first time I have been to a chiropractor where I didn't feel like I was being rushed through an assembly line. I have been to several high pressure "rack and crack" chiropractors in Santa Clarita. I won't say who they are but if you are currently going to a chiropractor in that area that takes about 5 to 7 minutes with each patient then you probably are going to my previous chiropractors. When is the last time you went to a chiropractor that did more than crack you but also knew and could name exactly what muscles were being affected by your condition as well as did hands on therapy to alleviate the pain. Even though those chiropractors I mentioned have a lot of customers, if their customers only knew that a 35 minute drive could result in ten times better service and pain reduction, they would definitely come to Dr. Duenas. I don't even want to mention his low prices in this review but I would bet dollars to doughnuts that even with the extra gas and driving time to come see him you would still save money from your current chiropractor in Santa Clarita. If you are already in the Antelope Valley you owe it to yourself to come find out what a great full service chiropractor this man is. I can't believe there aren't more Yelp reviews for him. This place is amazing. For years other doctors were just passing me off and saying I had carpal tunnel. All it took was one consultation with Dr. Duenas for him to see that wasn't at all what I had. He's been treating me twice a month now and I feel GREAT! It was so refreshing to have a consultation with a Dr. who took the time to examine me fully and explain things so thoroughly. The entire staff is top notch. I'm so thankful I found them!!! I just wanted to add how much money the trigger point class has saved me. I saved another trip to the ER on a Saturday night because of pain in the lower right abdomen. I was in pain for two days thinking I had appendicitis or gallbladder issues. I remembered everything I learned in the trigger point class and began scanning for trigger points. The debilitating issue was the knots in my side and back!!
