I am writing to share my feedback regarding my dental cleaning appointment today. I have always had positive experiences at your practice, which is why I was particularly disappointed by this visit. During the cleaning, the dental hygienist was noticeably rough. My inner cheek were scraped and left sore, the suction caused several bruised areas inside my mouth, and the inner cheek tissue was damaged to the point that it is now painful for me to eat. In addition, I found the overall experience very uncomfortable. Water was splashing throughout the procedure, leaving my face, neck, and even my chest are wet. More importantly, there were no opportunity for me to rinse or catch my breath. I eventually had to ask the hygienist to stop because I felt as though I was choking. I understand that some discomfort can occur during a dental cleaning, but this experience went well beyond what I have previously experienced at your practice. As someone who has always trusted and appreciated the quality of care you provide, I found today's treatment both distressing and disappointing. I wanted to bring this to your attention in the hope that my feedback will be taken seriously and help ensure that future patients do not have a similar experience. But from the moment we walked into Dr. Napolitano's office, everything felt different. He greeted my son with such warmth and patience, never rushing or pressuring him. He explained everything in a calm, reassuring way and really took the time to earn his trust. You could tell that every step was intentional, from the way the staff interacted with us to how the room was set up to make things feel more comfortable. By the end of the appointment, my son -- who usually can't wait to leave -- was smiling. Smiling! I honestly never thought I'd see that happen at a dental office. This dental practice also has an exceptional team supporting their work. Recently I had a dental surgery with another dental surgeon. A few days later, on a Saturday, I had an abscess in my mouth and was running a fever. Since the dental surgeon's practice was closed, I contacted Dr Olsen's office for care and although Dr. Olsen was not in, the office team went above and beyond to get me the care I needed. Christine (who is always an exceptional and accurate key member of the office management) noted my swollen face and contacted Dr Olsen immediately for guidance. Dr. Olsen's support staff, a knowledgeable dental intern Joseph, was also exceptional and spoke. to Dr Olsen/followed her instructions and sent photos/x-rays to her describing my situation. Jenna (another excellent dental intern) also assisted. Both were very knowledgeable, kind/had great bedside manner and took initiative to get me fast attention. The office got me an emergency appointment that day and I had my tooth pulled and felt better immediately! I cannot thank all of them enough! Dr. Olsen, Christine, Joseph and Jenna were absolutely the best you can get! I had all my family members go to this dentist. Then when a lot of people started going there, you could never get an appointment. If you had an emergency forget it you're not getting an appointment. Then the other day I called to make an appointment for a cleaning and she told me u cancelled ur last appointment. I told them ok, I left a message on your answering machine, well she insisted I didn't. I would never do that. If I can't make an appointment I would always call to cancel! They told me I owed them $50 because I didn't cancel. I insisted that I canceled the appointment we were going back and forth. She made me so angry that I told her to forget it, I'm finding myself another dentist.
