In addition he referred me for an oral surgery that now 7 years later I am told the tooth should have been extracted 7 years earlier and not had an extensive surgery performed. He was digging his tool in so hard nonstop (even after me saying it was hurting me) that he chipped my tooth! He barely explained what was going on and tried to walk me to another room for a filling right then. I was so confused and he said he didn't even have time to numb me. I had a horrible feeling so I said I didn't want him to work on it right then, and he just left the room without even saying goodbye or asking if I was ok. I was in extreme pain from the tooth having a big hole in it from what he did. it was the most bizarre and horrifying dental experience I've ever had.

His office is modern, clean and has state of the art equipment, including digital x-rays and ultrasonic dental cleaning. Dr. Upadya truly listens to my concerns and offers a thorough, comprehensive evaluation. He has diagnosed my dental issues and presented me with multiple options which fit my budget. I have terrible teeth and choose to have cleanings every 4 months. Ann Marie has been my hygienist for many years. She is friendly and meticulous...2 very important qualities. The only thing that might throw you off is that she's a lefty, so you have to turn your head to the left side. Weird, I know, but it is different. :) The front desk is friendly and efficient, now staffed by Danielle. Overall, a comfortable place to visit even if you have a dental phobia.

I recommend them so much that when my boyfriend had insurance that only covered certain dentists that he didn't feel very good about (and I didn't trust that they weren't trying to up-charge him for non-existent needs) I put him on my dental insurance so that he could start going to Innovative Dental. They've done right by him and made him significantly less anxious to go to the dentist despite having to do several procedures including a root canal. Now his teeth are set back on the right path! Back in 2018 my dental insurance changed and I had to go to a nearby dentist practice instead. It was the kind where you never see the same dentist twice. They told me that I had a cavity between my teeth and that I should have flossed. I almost came out of the chair swinging because I floss every night. As I was leaving I heard them upselling expensive toothbrushes in the next room. I then decided to start going back to Innovative Dental even if my dental insurance didn't cover it because I didn't trust those dentists. Dr Mithani is 1000% trustworthy and so gentle with teeth. Plus, he really remembers me, my needs, my mouth so well between visits. I always feel really cared for here :)

He is a top-notch doctor, dentist, and great person. He has made so many dental decisions that served in my best interest as the patient, and his philosophy is taking care of the teeth and doing the least work as possible to affect you. He closely monitors any issues and remembers them and always does a superb job on the procedures needed. He's very calm, competent, and clear and actually makes going to the dentist enjoyable :). Dr. Mithani is generous and fair with procedures, overall judgment, and payments. Could not recommend a dentist more!

He is not an honest dr. My daughter went for a root canal since my friend recommend him. He told…read moremy daughter she had a cavity in another tooth and should be fixed when she comes back. That black spot was brushed off when my daughter was brushing teeth at home. Then the dr said that tooth is very easy to get food stuck in that spot so it's still better to fill it. He could not tell if that was just cavity or food stuck in the tooth with so many years of experience. He's trying to get pay more. And the receptionist, I assume that is his wife, attitude is so rude when your medical insurance is not acceptable by them.

During Covid, they try to minimize the number of patients that are in the room, including the waiting room which is very important to me. Doctor has mask and face shield on at all times.
