We discussed a few options. One being an aluminum frame. After pricing the job out, Dubs decided to replace the wood and not use aluminum because of price, so with the customer in mind, he chose to not use the aluminum because the material price has skyrocket like everything else. In my mind, what does he care, I would be paying for it but no, He chose to save me money!!!! So awesome. He told me he would do the primer and then paint after it had dried, which I was just thinking, primer one day, then come back and paint. When I came home last night, it looked like I had pulled into the wrong driveway, the update was PERFECT. I thought , wow, how did he get that done so fast?!! When I spoke to him today, he said he was able to prime and get one light coat of paint on. I told him it looked perfect and could actually leave as is. He insisted he was going to do another coat. So , while I knew prior to this second job at my house, this job really confirms the pride he takes in his work. It's sad that I am shocked to find someone that takes pride in their work but WOW!!!! I feel like when he's done with my house, it's going to look brand new. Also another thing that I was highly impressed with is that he asked me of I minded if he had helped someone else with a project while he was still doing mine. Of course I do not mind at all, this guy deserves to make money when it's available. And in no way has him helping someone else impacted what he was doing for me. So against my better judgement I accepted his offer. His employees slacked off for days to juice the job for all they could. A 7 day job turned into 12! Second he charged me for a full days work to deliver the materials which turned into an argument that i decided to let slide. Btw do to many health issues I did not inspect the work and paid him in full. When I did inspect the work there were tiles not placed properly, the door frame was crooked, and the glass shower doors were not adjusted correctly so water was spilling onto the outside floor. When I asked him to come back to make the necessary repairs he showed up screaming and trying to bully me. On top of all that they left the old toilet behind which is very heavy and i cannot lift do to back issues. He refused to fix the mistakes. He was really good and about communicating the times he would show up for both the estimate and the repair. He always showed up in a mask. The repair required taking apart the shelving in the closet and putting them back in place, painting, and using a repair compound for the walls. They did a really nice job and I'm really happy with it. If I had any issues in the house in the future, I'd definitely reach out to them again.
