I've had joint/knee issues for a majority of my life (loose ligaments, bunions, carpel tunnel…read morehotness, every joint in my body cracking for no reason, obscure double jointedness but not in a cool kind of way, etc.) and his reccomendation wasn't unnecesary surgery, it was proper excercise. I'm a runner, I lift weights, and I love hiking - prior to Dr. Gluck general practioners said, "well, just do no impact excercises" to which i replied, "i don't understand". I was prepared with this entire explanation of how low/no impact excercise simply wasn't an option for me, and i didn't even need it. Apparently, excercise (in my case) actually HELPS with my loose ligaments, wouldn't you know, building the muscles around the areas which support those ligaments is actually better than complete neglect? I have to go back to him to get a Doctor's note to get an ergonomic keyboard and mouse for work (to match my pocket protector and horned rim glasses), and am glad to do so. Also, the location is right around many other doctors as well as the PW hospital, so depending on what you need, it's possible to knock out a few doctors appointments in one day (particularly if you don't work anywhere near manassas and driving out there to go to the doctor is a pain).

I left with no recommended course of action to address my swollen right hand that I am unable to use, and a shoulder so painful I cannot sleep. He did tell me to take turmeric come back and see him in 4 to 6 weeks. Hard no on the return visit. I have made an appointment with another hand, arm, shoulder specialist but am suffering through the time wasted with Dr. Miller. I will never recommend him. He also left me waiting for him in the closed exam room for 30 minutes.

She suggested going to Dr. Miller and right away he was able to determine that my son broke his Hammate bone. He gave us the option to give it time to let it heal on it's own (which originally sounded like the best option), but then he stated that it will likely break again given that my son plays multiple sports. He then gave the option to have surgery to remove the broken bone. The surgery was quick and easy. His entire staff was wonderful as they took care of my son and all of his concerns. He was healed in 6 weeks and is back to hitting and working out in preparation for his coming Spring basball season. We're thankful that our son was able to find someone so knowledgable and caring to help us through this.

Yes, there are a lot of patients in the waiting room but that's because they have so many different type of Orthopaedic surgeons here. They don't have time to chat about your personal life. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes I do have to wait in the room to be seen. However, last time I was there I was seen right away. I guess it just depends.

Every time I looked out the door to find anyone to see what the major delay was, the hall was empty. I have degenerative disc disease in my low back. By sitting on their less than comfortable chairs for well over two hours. I couldn't take the pain anymore so I had to leave. I do NOT recommend this facility or Dr. Miller at all. They don't seem to care how long they leave patients waiting. I'm sure many patients are in pain just waiting unreasonably long hours just to see a doctor. It's down right shameful!. If I could have the option of selecting 0 stars, I would.

I have literally walked into the office for an appointment in excruciating pain and limping. She works on me for an hour pulling, stretching, massaging trigger points. When I leave I feel relaxed, and have less pain. She is teaching me stretching techniques to do when I am heating food in the microwave, or just watching TV. She is truly amazing.

I have no issues at all with Dr. Kaas. I like her, she's incredibly kind and compassionate, and a…read moregood doctor. But for the last three visits, I was taken into a room 15-20 minutes late with no explanation. My appointment should take no more than 15-20 minutes. If I had not left 45 minutes later on my own, I don't know how long I would have sat in that room waiting for the PA. Today I had a 9:15 AM appointment. I waited 20 minutes after my appointment time to be put in a room finally at 9:35 AM, . Once in the room, I waited an additional 15 minutes for the doctor to come in. When Dr. Kaas came in, and she explained she was held up for personal reasons. I then waited for the PA to come in to finish the visit and she did not show up at all. I waited another 20 minutes and I decided to leave. I am 67 years old and have NEVER left a doctor's office in my life. I told the front desk why I left. Five minutes after leaving, I received a phone call from the PA who told me they were short staffed. She invited me to come in today at my convenience to complete the treatment, but I could not. I will not be returning to this practice. This all could have been avoided by a kind explanation at any point in time while I was in the office.

I was seen by Dr. Jay Ryan at this practice back starting in 2025. I went to him for diagnosed foot…read morepain, and he constantly said multiple issues existed. He kept pushing for injections and surgeries. These injections were costly and did not work, and even after understanding that, he kept emphasizing the injections. Finally after refusing the injections multiple times, he suggested multiple surgeries. Dr. Ryan performed one surgery on July 2025, and one again on January 2026. Every time I was seen for debilitating foot pain, he suggested surgery. After each surgery completed, my foot pain got worse and now I can't walk. Dr. Ryan also provided an inaccurate estimate of how long my recovery would be, he did a very intense surgery where a portion of my heel was removed, metal hardware was taken out, and he said I would be able to walk in 2 weeks. Several months later, even after physical therapy, I am unable to walk. I don't think I will ever be able to walk again. After one of my surgeries I was scheduled for a post op with Dr. Ryan, and upon arriving, I was told I could not be seen by him. Dr. Kaas ended up seeing me, and she did not provide a thorough exam of my incisions. She stood on one side of the room where she could not examine my entire foot, and I had multiple stitches on all sides of my feet. Dr. Kaas glanced at me and told me I looked fine. She then denied me any pain medications even though I was told to ask, and I needed them. The front office also is not communicative, and unhelpful. I've had to ask them multiple times to send in pain medication that I needed URGENTLY after my surgery, and they waited days to do so even after they told me they would send it same day. They also refused to prescribe me pain medication, they said a Dr. had to sign off on it but still made me wait - even though Dr. Ryan said he'd send it same day. I feel as though my pain levels were completely disregarded and misdiagnosed at this practice. The front office is also not clear on how the billing works, they never communicated that there would be more than one bill for one surgery, and they also charge a hefty credit card surcharge/processing fee, which I feel is already unfair, and not done at any other practice. Also, for being a medical office that specializes in foot and ankle care, their building is NOT accessible, at all. There are multiple stairs and a steep incline going into the building, no automatic doors at the office. It was extremely hard trying to maneuver an office being disabled and using mobility aids that I brought like a wheelchair, a scooter, a walker, crutches, and a cane. I don't think I will ever be able to walk again after being seen by both Dr. Ryan and Dr. Kaas. Please avoid this office at all costs.

Or go straight to his website (not VA sports and spine, but VIRGINIA sports and spine) The most interesting thing I found about Dr. Farid was that the first time I used him for a chronic issue in both arms, I fully expected to be getting treated for an extended amount of time in order to fix this injury. I even may have asked him "how many appointments do you think it will take? a couple dozen or so?" He explained how he "didn't think so at all" and that he "prefers to fix patients for the long-term in as low a number of visits as possible" and that my issue "shouldn't take more than 3-5 appointments before we should re-assess whether there is enough progress to continue to use his treatment, versus seeking a surgical solution" WTF?! I was thinking, "What kind of chiropractor does that?!" After completely repairing those issues, I came back to him to see if he could fix my shoulder too. He is now in a new office and this review is about his new downtown Fairfax location. Received absolutely top-tier service again, and for a significantly lower price. (Take advantage of him now, because he is clearly undercharging in order to show the community what he can do.) Dr. Farid took as much time as I felt was needed (and significantly more than any other doctor I have ever been to) in order to understand the issue. After listening to the full history of my injury, he did some doctor-y movement-y stuff and identified the problem. He then explained the underlying cause of the injury and his therapy plan. At that point, he began my treatment. His website is not lying when it says he provides highly-specialized treatment. That is exactly what I saw. He's also a really friendly guy, which makes the appointment much better. Seems to have a pretty nice facility that looks like it caters to sports injuries. Makes sense, considering my injury was shoulder-related and he clearly had significant experience dealing with athletic movement-types of injuries. Will be going back and would wholeheartedly recommend above anyone else in the area.

My low grade spondylolisthesis was what brought me into his office originally but we continue to go to him for overall back, shoulder and neck pain management because his quality of chiropractic care is so wonderful. He always makes it a point to set time out in our session to talk about pain management and how to remain pain free after an adjustment session, and those tips have helped us leaps and bounds. For the past 6 years I have been on wait lists for therapy, counseling, evaluations, etc. I spent thousands on private tutoring, several thousand on counseling sessions, multiple co-payments on evaluations for occupational therapy. After finally getting a neuropsych evaluation and an assessment at schools - was able to get a 'diagnosis' of ADHD, anxiety, short term memory deficiency and extremely low recall speed. From there I discussed it with someone that had used Dr. Carlton who was very happy and so I immediately signed up for a free evaluation. His brain mapping was able to come up with a treatment plan which he said would take several sessions to notice a difference. My child and I both signed up to do sessions. After a few sessions I definitely noticed I was *way* calmer in my "moments of frustration", things that bothered me before didn't seem to be such a big deal anymore. I also was sleeping better! But let me talk about my child. Within maybe 4 sessions (at most) - out of nowhere, suddenly the executive functioning struggles and anxiety were WAY less. Doing homework on their own, remembering assignments, packing lunch the night before, "planning" the mornings out before school, not being in a panic rush about everything. Within the same week homework assignment grades start coming back. An "A" - Have never seen one of those! Another "A" - Wow! Some B's where "Fs" were last month. What has happened! Remarks from teacher that they are noticing something is different! This is amazing! I knew it had to be this because not a single other thing had changed. There was a time (almost 2 weeks) of flu illness where no sessions were done (about half way through the series of the first 20) and about that time the anxiety crept back in, yelling/being upset about little things - but as soon as we were able to get back on track, that went away. We did sessions at home, which is a little easier (for scheduling) but harder (because life gets in the way, so we were not as diligent as we should have been and would have had even more astonishing results if stayed on track). We are not done yet (will be doing another round of 10 after a new brain mapping) but I wanted to share the absolute amazing success we've had - what a difference it's made in our family dynamics, a more peaceful environment and more joy because the 'fog' has gone away and we can be more present in the moment. I can't say enough great things, I would highly recommend every single person that even thinks "maybe" this could help them to give it a try. I love that he really just wants to help people and offered us the 0% financing in-house making it affordable (cost is actually les than I expected). We did buy a cheap (used) laptop (for $50 on marketplace) to use for the at-home to have just a dedicated device since my Mac wasn't compatible with the program, but the equipment is otherwise on loan (I paid a deposit). I only wish we had found this sooner but am super grateful that I did find it though I feel bad when I see others suffering from similar and think "if they'd just go give this a try!!!" - so hopefully this review helps anyone that may be on the fence about it.

My toe from the bunion surgery is still numb years later, it was supose to go away. I lose my big toe, toe nail all the time.
