First his morbidly obese, picture-of-health PA enters the room and loudly and arrogantly insists that the only recourse at this point is to inject radioactive materials into my frail mother's body so they can "see" the fractures' age. Then enters young, fit Rice who proceeds to aggressively poke around my mother's fragile back asking her if this hurts and that hurts and then when she says "not really where you're pushing", he then HITS her 91 year old BROKEN back several times with force! She is shocked and too intimidated by doctors to tell him to stop and that it hurts and now she has NEW terrible pain in her back ribs!!! We are too exhausted to make a legal case of this in these last months of her life so I thought I would just warn others that these guys are dangerous and should be avoided.

I had the great privilege of being a friend of one of the most respected Thoracic Surgeons in the country, dr. Joseph Wilson, in Palm Springs California. And dr. Wilson told me if I truly wanted to know what the best thing to do was, just ask the nurses that took care of the patients after the doctor got done working on them? What an interesting concept coming from a doctor, it may be one of the reasons he is so highly respected! What does this have to do with Johnson City Family Physicians? When I decided to leave California and the comfort of all my knowing doctors in that area I came to Johnson City and found out that sometimes that care is not always the same or the care allowed is not always the same in different states. So after a few failed attempt to find a family physician here in Tennessee, something led me, for those of you that believe in God you'll know what I mean for those of you who don't let's just call it a very interesting set of circumstances. I made an appointment with a nurse practitioner? That is a person who started out in the medical field to provide the care and compassion that a nurse does and then through their own personal desire went back to school and got a master's in order to be able to prescribe and care for patients just like a doctor does. So you get the care and compassion of a nurse send it in with the capabilities of a doctor, and I can assure you did some doctors aren't really that interested in your personal being? I know that sounds funny but if you would like me to share instances out of the hospital with you I will. So went to the office and I should have known right when the nurse came out to get me, her name was Doris Hardin, and my aunt Doris was married to my Uncle Joe and brought me to Great cousins and I used to work with a gentleman named Denning Hardin, who always made me laugh because he said there is no ding in Hardin hahaha and then the nurse practitioner Doctor Pat Gibson came in, and it was my aunt passed who offered to adopt me from my mom because my mom was only 17 years old when I was born set my mom chose to come to California and live with her sister on Gibson Road in Woodland Cprovideralifornia! So the words and the word Gibson were both big parts of my life before I even got here and I mean a lot to me and fortunately they mean far more to me now than they used to because I have found a caring considerate understanding and a dog loving oh, and it was a dog's love and push that actually got me back walking again so, well, I would have given Dr Gibson 20 Stars but that would have been a couple hundred too short? Or maybe thousands?

The dress code is disgusting because the woman who brought us back was wearing a leopard pattern outfit with boots, the NP's attire was not a clean looking one. We found out we will never see the doctor unless my friend is dying. Everytime I have called their office, in the beginning to ask questions and to make an appointment, I had to leave a message. There were 4 women all sitting at their desks, not on any phone calls. How could they be because they never answer the phone. I have been trying to make the payment online since they wouldn't take it yesterday but am having trouble doing so. I highly suggest people to stay away from this office.

Dr. Sevilla will speak with your daughter once she has determined her care plan." We kindly explained that my mother (age 67) has a complicated history and my mom indicated she didn't feel comfortable without me with her. The receptionist disappeared and within minutes the doctor literally burst into the waiting room, didn't greet us or introduce herself, but started shouting about her credentials and that this is how she runs her practice. We were dumbfounded but humbly agreed to her demands. Then we asked the receptionst to clarify an unusual form that we were asked to sign and again she got the doctor, who this time burst in with "obviously you've never seen a real doctor" and then asked us to leave if we wouldn't sign the sketchy paperwork that we merely asked the receptionist to explain... It was very bizarre behavior--to the point that we couldn't trust her. Still in complete shock about how we were treated.

She said she would see me again in 4 weeks, but the secretary told me that her next appointment was in 7 weeks and told me that was close enough. I decided to get a second opinion. The other neurologist found spinal cord damage almost immediately using a simple reflex test. Dr. Sevilla is rude, does not listen, and gave up as soon as the answer wasn't obvious. She also has a reprimand on her license for receiving illegal Botox. Please check your options--there is a real neurologist in Knoxville who will actually help you. You are worth more than this.

Wasn't happy and they re-scheduled me for an appt on July 10th. The day before my appt with Dr. Rhoton they call me and tell me my appt is cancelled because Dr. Rhoton has an emergency surgery and that he is no longer scheduling "new patients". What??? I'm not a new patient! Your office was the one that told me I had to see Dr. Rhoton. I'm astonished at the ineptness of this practice. No one gives a straight answer, communication is awful. This place is scary and I am going to have to get a referral to another doctor in Charlotte (1 1/2 hour drive away). What is going on CSNC?

I have to lay down with 2 thick pillows in between my knees. The pain is unbearable. The last time I had back surgery I was the same weight and I lost 2x what the surgeon told me to started the diet in the hospital and stuck to it. I'd rather take my chances with an infection than live like this every single day! It is literally like being in hell. I can't do laundry and I love doing laundry. My God have mercy. after hurricane only and we had to relocate to a different house my husband had to move everything by himself as everyone else was dealing with their own issues from the hurricane. He had no answer other than to lose weight. I barely eat anything. It's hard to when you hurt so bad. I don't know why I can't manage to lose much weight but it's hard when you can't move and it's also hard when you have to take medication for nerve pain and it causes you to retain fluid. I feel like I've been set up to fail and the surgeon just walks away while I'm helpless and it's gotten so much worse. The pain hurt so bad both of my legs and even hurts in my knees, but it's not my knees is nerve pain. I can tell if it doesn't stop it never stops. I tripped over my left leg because I think I'm lifting it and I'm not. But it doesn't matter how can person who's taking an oath to take care of people that are sick walk away and turn their back on someone who is completely helpless. My pain management can't provide the amount of pain medication that it would take to make this stop enough so I could do things. I don't expect to ever be out of pain, but I do think that the medical community could do something. Otherwise, why did they become a doctor? God forbid they have to actually try to figure out something or a way to do something that's unconventional or difficult. It's absolutely pathetic to leave a person this way to allow a family to have no income when there has to be a surgeon who's perfectly capable of doing something. .
