We wanted it to be a bigger and more exciting trip than we would normally take. We decided on Greece for our late April 2020 honeymoon after deeply considering Spain and Italy (yes, good thing we didn't choose those countries!) To remove some stress from all of the planning, we decided to hire a travel agent to organize the hotels, flights, and some events we wanted to attend. I was familiar with Ike from many choir trips he organized for my high school and thought he would be a good choice. We were excited and had just received our fancy itinerary booklet. Then, COVID hit. We had to postpone our wedding, and with travel being a complete disaster, we needed to postpone our honeymoon as well. On top of rescheduling vendors and contacting our guests (and working crisis comms for my job) I would have NEVER had time to replan an entire 10 day honeymoon. The trip cost each of us over $12,000 each with upgraded rooms on a river cruise. Our upcoming trip will have 2 of us flying in the morning and 2 in the afternoon even though this was a 4 person trip overseas all together. she finally booked our transportation from hotels to the ship and so on after 9 months of us calling and texting to get it straightened out. some of the hotel rooms were not even booked until recently. it's been a total nightmare and I hope that the 4 of us will eventually meet and share the same ship and hotel rooms once we get there. I have never flown overseas and had hoped the group could help me navigate through it but it looks like I'm doing that on my own now
