In the email he assured me that he'd make sure to fix the issues I had expressed in my previous review. He also listed for me all of the prices of the hats there, most of which were under the price or just the same as hats at lids. The hats that were pricier were hats with custom brims. I was glad for the clarification and reassurance. I went in a day later and to my surprised the issues I'd mentioned in my previous review were gone, no more crappy display shoes and odor thank you! And the first thing that I saw when I walked in was the owner Robert hard at work and fixing up the displays on the floor himself. This let me know how dedicated he is to his business and how sincere and serious he is about custom satisfaction. After speaking with him in person he convinced me to come by the store again. I came back and bought a very nice hat. Thank goodness for good owners like Robert. I'm definitely a fan and will be back.

Well B is now old enough that we can't do that anymore and now have taken him to a few games. B has also been playing hockey for a few years now and at the age of 10 is one heck of a skater. He loves to play and this weekend he actually didn't have a game so we went to the local outdoor rink to play. After a few hours my brother asked if we could stop of Gunzo's to get his skate's sharpened and to get some other items for his team. I was thrilled to go as I grew up going to this place and haven't been here in over 20 years. Walking in the place is decked out in Hawks items. They also have plenty of skates, stick and equipment. Going back here brought back all sorts of great memories of my youth. While my brother and nephew were getting some items I took the opportunity to look around at all the other items they had for sale. With Christmas and birthday's our budget was running a bit tight however I accept full responsibility for giving into my temptation to purchase an old school banner from the old Stadium. Too many great memories from that old barn and I just had to add that to our Hawks themed man cave. These announcements were long and once he was done, he would repeat what he said in Spanish. I enjoy listening to music or it being silent while I'm shopping. Afterall, shopping is somewhat therapy. I couldn't focus on what I wanted and I couldn't hear when the person who I was with would talk to me vice versa. The overheard announcements were loud and exaggerated. After a 3 week estimate, It took them more than a month to even begin customizing my sneakers. I…read morehad to hound them. Ultimately, it took close to two months. So, they gave me a $10 discount and I left happy, because the shoes looked spectacular. However, the paint started flaking off within half an hour of wearing them. I'm attaching photos of the initial blemish and then how they looked hours later. Perhaps it is impossible to paint the specific type of mesh on the NB 770.9 model that I commissioned them to work on, however that was never communicated to me. To be fair, I had already attempted to paint them by hand and it became clear that they'd need to be airbrushed, which is why I brought them to the 'professionals' at OPC. If they'd told me it wouldn't work, I would have accepted that. If they'd told me they'd need to remove the existing paint and use a base primer, which is my suspicion, I'd have been willing to pay a lot more money... that would have also made the timeframe more acceptable. The communication with these guys is horrendous! This seems more 'casual hobby' than 'serious business' So after all this time and a $60 bill, my sneakers are worthless.
