Dress shoes and more formal wear is what they are known for - but they do have some shoes and boots that look a bit more casual. I had the most comfortable shoes from this brand due to the super soft leather they were made from. Super soft and flexible. I don't like it when tough leather creases and stabs your foot or toe with every step. I picked up some belts as gifts - will be back to look for myself more one day soon. If you need to be in formal attire every day its so important to get shoes from here and maybe a ton of iron free shirts from Brooks Brothers - also nearby. Will make your day feel as good as possible.

I'm not familiar with this brand, but decided to check the store out on a whim. Love their overall selection available, and wound up finding a pair that I liked, fit well, and was decently priced. As it was early on in our day, and we wanted to check out a few more stores first, the gentleman who assisted us kindly offered to put it on hold while we shopped around. In addition, he inquired about what else we were shopping for, and made some recommendations on some other stores that we could take a look at as well. After an exhausting day looking through the major brands, we found a few accessories that I wanted, but could not find another pair of shoes that I liked. When we returned to Johnston & Murphy, the same salesperson that was working from earlier was still there, and he both remembered me and the pair of shoes he put on hold for me, as well brought out some belts that I could try on. Having remembered our conversation earlier in the day when I mentioned I was also shopping for a new belt. When checking out, my fiancé noticed a very slight blemish on one of the shoes, and the salesperson very kindly buffed and polished both shoes for us without hesitation. And upon leaving, my fiancé noticed an elderly couple in the store in which the husband was wearing a cap from the same hotel we are getting married in at Hawaii. What a small world! Great experience, great service, and excellent quality and selection of men and women's formal footwear. Highly recommend this store, and will not hesitate to come shop here again!

I called the day before (yesterday) and no answer and left a voicemail. Today was the ready by date. I went to pick up the pants around 9:45am they were not done and not even started on. The woman Sammy said to come back at 11 am but I said don't rush so she said come back around 1pm. I came back around 12:44pm since they close at 1pm. Pants were not done so she told me to come back in 20min. I walked around CVS and Luckys a bit then came back around 1:05pm and waited in the store another 25 minutes. So pants were done at 1:30pm, 30minutes after closing with me waiting in the store. The hemming was fine, though I don't know if they got two of the pant inseams a little longer than requested but I was so annoyed by all the waiting and going back and forth that I don't want to say anything or go back. Seems like they are short staffed and even regular customers are having delays also. I need to get my own sewing machine so I can do it myself instead.

He explained that because the beads were sewn all over the dress, he would need to carefully hand sew and adjust everything instead of using a machine. Despite the detailed labor involved, he was incredibly kind, patient, and willing to go the extra mile. When I returned for my fitting, I was amazed -- the dress fit absolutely perfectly and exactly how I had envisioned it. Since I'm very petite, several inches needed to be taken in around the bust and hips, so I truly appreciated the care and precision he put into the alterations. Not sure who was an employee or who was just there hanging out. Not once were we greeted, my husband had to go to the counter to ask if he could use a fitting room. At that point I was the one helping my husband get different sizes and styles. The had snacks and drinks, I mean they were having a great time. At one point I heard an older gentleman asking about the current promos, one of the young ladies was yelling that they had 40% off across the store. My husband only purchased on tee since no one offered to get one off a mannequin, that was the size he needed. This was the worst experience we have had here, I hope someone addresses this with the employees. I would hate to see this store close because no one is making sales. At any rate I entered the Lion's Den of customers looking for 4th of July bargains and behold they had solid soft knit Polo shirts selling for $59 from $125 and they had my size and color that I liked. My son also purchased a similar one but since they did not have his size they found it at another store and it would be shipped to his address. Cashier with the stylish mini handlebar mustache provided great service and quickly handled each customer at checkout. So in theory- Theory will now be my place to stop in moving forward to look for great bargains such as what I got today.

It's really annoying - management please address this! Not appropriate to keep ppl waiting for sake of waiting. Not efficient and upsetting. People in line are leaving too because of the frustration. It's the opposite of customer service, the staff is doing things that's convenient and easiest for them instead of for the customers. Change the policy of not letting people in, at least allow 25 ppl or something... it looks bad when your store is empty and you are forcing ppl to wait outside!
