Just not a good experience. The lady who took my order wasn't nice, I asked to recommend me a dish with a sweet sauce but when I got my order it was nothing but salty. The spring roll was dry like it sat for a while. When I asked for plastic utensils (we were gonna eat outside) it made me feel like I'm asking for something out of the world. When I noticed they didn't give us fortune cookies (which normally they add them to every Chinese take out order and I always look forward to it) and asked for them, the lady said they don't give out fortune cookies anymore and haven't for a long time. This is a local spot that has existed for a LONG time. Growing up this place was and still is my family's go-to spot for Chinese food. The food is always good. Wonton soup, fried rice, egg rolls, general tso's, pork mei fun are simply great. If you come into town to compare whatever other place you're familiar with, save your self-serving lukewarm review for another restaurant. Decent place. Had the vegetarian lo mein and vegetarian springroll. The food is not as spicy as you would expect. So be sure to tell your spice preference.Portions are huge. A full portion is sufficient for 2 people. Being a vegetarian,I do not prefer the distinct oil taste (which I think is fish oil or similar,I wouldn't know for sure) ,but I was pleasantly surprised here. The shrimp lo mein is on point! However, the special they had that day was chicken with eggplant in garlic sauce and it was just too sweet with not much chicken. The portion was big even though I got a small one. I would go back for lo mein for sure, though. Service was good and quick. read more

The chicken wings were good and the fried rice was okay but still edible. They have a huge menu and special combos that are reasonable! They also upon request eliminate msg, salt, oil, sugar, spice, etc. from your order as well. Which is a plus compared to other places. Disappointed! I have been trying nearly every Chinese fast food spot around the peripheral of Newark. This one was next on my list. Once arrived, I was not greeted properly. Rude much? Than I called for attention and the lady who served me was not-so-kind. OK, I brushed it off because we all have one of those type of days and my ass was happy. Than I tried to pay for my meal and she told me to wait until everything was done and placed in the bag. OK, once again because that was a first for me. After its all settled and done, I kindly told her to have a nice day and hope tomorrow will be a better one. I even shrugged a smile at that too! Arrived home to dig in... Well damn, my chicken wings where burnt and tasted like it was fried in a year old of recycled oil. Bleh. Next, my boyfriend's General Tso tasted like burnt old chicken thats been sitting in the fridge for over a course of a decade and than reheated in the microwave. Double whammy. You know where all that goes, in the trash. I had to think to myself, what did I do for that to happen? By far the worse I have experienced in Delaware! Sad to say that I am still on a mission to find that one good spot I can always go too like I normally do in Philly or Jersey! I am in town visiting my son at UDel tomorrow. Needed a quick bit and felt like Chinese. This place is in the shopping center near my hotel. Based on the reviews I thought I would try it. First of all - definitely take out. There were only 3 or 4 tables and the owner's kids were eating their dinner at one of them. The place was clean but definitely décor was old and heavy on the Chinese theme. English is not their first language! Food was very tasty but as another viewer noted - not spicy - at all! I even asked if was going to be spicy. She said yes. I confirmed that I wanted it spicy. There was NO SPICE. I don't think she and her husband (the chef) have the same definition of spice. I had the chicken with eggplant in garlic sauce and an egg roll. Both were very good and flavorful. I have eaten from that place for the last 15 years. We always order the same - sesame chicken. This is the 3rd time it tastes disgusting. I don't recommend this place. When I called in an order for the first time, I asked not to have carrots or celery in my kung pao chicken (those vegetables are used as filler at cheaper Chinese restaurants), but a few minutes later, they called me back to tell me that "it is pre-mixed so they can't do it." I think we all know it's ridiculous that they pre-mix vegetables with raw chicken, so they really just didn't want to do it. My concerns were justified, because when the order arrived, it was virtually all filler vegetables and no chicken (to their credit, there were mushrooms in there that were pretty good), so basically we paid $12 for a quart of kung pao carrots. The chicken with broccoli was almost as bad, though had a bit more of a ratio of chicken. The sesame chicken, which is typically my family's favorite dish at a Chinese restaurant, was apparently not very good. (Even though the rest of the meal was not great, the hot and sour soup was actually pretty good) There are other take-out Chinese places in the area, and I recommend choosing another. One other quick note: there is a handwritten sign on their counter saying "Due to rising beef prices, beef dishes will be charged $1 extra" (that's a paraphrase, not the actual sign, but that's basically what it says). We didn't order any beef dishes, so if you are calling in your order, you should ask whether they are applying this secret surcharge. read more

The place has completely lost my business. I called in my order and when I went to go to pick it up and pay for it they charged my card but refused to give me my food. I couldn't believe what was happening. They told me my card was declined and the payment had not gone through. I should them the bank statement on my phone showing I was charged for the food and that the payment had gone through. I still was not given my food. They told me I would receive a refund in a week. How could I receive a refund if my card was apparently declined. I will never order from this horrible place again read more
