ITEMS WERE STOLEN FROM OUR LOCKED LUGGAGE AT JOY NOSTALG
Joy Nostalg stored our luggage on Dec 26, 2023. We returned on the 29th and several items were missing: Puma shoes, Georgia Tech polo shirt, black cargo pants, 2 DKNY bras, 5 light green Target plates, and a striped brown towel. We secured our valuables offsite.
The Managers Shaine Fernandez, Karen Inocencio, Joy Ravelo, Odette huang, and Rajino Santos did not seem shocked nor shamed by the theft. We contacted Joy Nostalg owner Jacinto Ng Jr and Accor CEO Bernd Schneider, but they ignored us. No one officially apologized.
In a January 1 letter, Joy Nostalg said, "Our thorough analysis revealed that no unauthorized individual accessed the items from the moment of drop-off to their delivery to your room." Which means, only Joy Nostalg personnel had access to our luggage.
We prepaid for 13 nights so we were forced to continue to stay at Joy Nostalg even after my kids felt traumatized by the theft. We felt extremely anxious and unsafe, while Joy Nostalg acted like nothing happened.
We only had Housekeeping service on Jan 9 & 10, but there were signs that our closets and drawers were opened. This freaked us out, so we reported the theft to the police and consulted our lawyers. read more
