I suggest that people have their own carts or buggies. All of our guests enjoyed themselves and we look forward to hosting our event next year. I had been looking at the available kittens in the humane society's website for a week or 2 before I came and I noticed that it was best to go in early in the day. Prior to coming to this location, I went to the satellite location at Petco by Lakeside mall. As I had put my previous cat to sleep in early March and she had been a girl, I was there for boy kittens. The only kittens at that location were girl however the staff working the cat area were really helpful. I was informed that there were 2 boy kittens that would be available starting in an hour at the Detroit location. The staff told me to call the number on the sign immediately when I arrived in order to get in line. I was about 15 minutes early and when I called, they answered right away and put me in line. I was the 2nd person in for adoptions but the 1st person going for cats/kittens. The staff member that helped me with the adoption was so nice and helpful. She answered all of my questions and within about 30 minutes from when I walked in, I walked out with my new kitten Aiden. I recommend the humane society for adoption of cats and kittens.

Much of the food is donated by local stores or restaurants. They get a ton of stuff into their warehouse. They always go through the daily protocol in the big conference room. You are to wear gloves and a hair cover and beard cover for those with facial hairs. Now you can add a face mask to the attire too. You start the event work around 9am and work until 11am to noon. The warehouse job is the hardest. I have sorted through some rough looking potatoes, to water logged and decrepit looking cucumbers and tomatoes. It makes you really appreciate the foods we can easily pick through at the grocery store to get the most appealing ones. Any sign of mold gets tossed. This is the hardest of the jobs, but also the most rewarding since it's labor intensive too. I have also had the pleasure of assembling sandwiches in the kitchen too, with wheat squares of bread, some meat like slices of pork meat of some sort and cheese too. Volunteering your time and energy is greatly rewarding and so helpful to those in need. This is a great center that gives back ro the community. At the end of your day, they will brief you on how many bags or boxes of food were boxed that day. It's the only day big the original big 3 OEMs groups can collaborate and work together side by side without any intellectual property issues too.

If you want to become a member, the upper floors are open to you with more collaborative and private spaces for you to enjoy! It is a non-profit organization and just a gloriously safe and intentionally-curated space to foster creativity and amazing vibes. This is a very nicely renovated mansion turned into a woman's club. Like a late 1800's gentleman's club, only for women. There is a locker room/workout room/nursing area, but I did not see them because I am not a woman. They have lectures and groups within the club. They have a full kitchen, and the usual food on offer seemed like you would expect at a starbucks or better. They have drinks, coffee, and wine. The wine was higher end. And they use an ordering app so members at different rooms of the club can order easily. Lots of rooms. Dining and lecture rooms, lounge and club type rooms, conference rooms. A large event room. All really nice. There are smaller serving bars on the second and third floors. Depending on age, annual membership is 600 or 1200 dollars. It looked great. Maybe it could have used more restrooms, but that is sort of reaching for something negative to say.

My favorite part about the store is how well it's organized because it made shopping so easy and enjoyable. There's no digging through bins here! We stayed for a long time and the employee was available and friendly, but did not rush or crowd us.
