sorry to say that my order for a large floral display for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday party was a no-show. Joyce later delivered roses and an apology to my mother-in-law's home but the party was long since over at her church and all of her friends had gone home. Here's the deal....if you're lucky, you get ONE 80th birthday--never two. You can't risk screwing it up. OK I'm not one to write reviews very often, but this just ticked me off..... anyways it was Friday before mother's day, and I procrastinated a little to late for the flowers, I wanted them delivered on Saturday and I looked on the web for all the flower shops and the shipping was outrageous for Saturday delivery, so I decided to call a local Florist to deliver my mother's flowers and I chose Joyce's Greenery, I grew up in Storm Lake and they have been around for as long as I can remember. Anyways I called them up and asked for a 35.00 arrangement thinking I could get a decent sized arrangement, knowing in the back of my head what I can get on line shipped to her.. ( a huge piece) anyways... so I talked to the lady and trusted her to do this for me as I do not live there anymore, and she said she would take care of it. So the next day my mom sent me the picture of the DINKY flower arrangement, there were maybe 5 flowers in there and the same small boring 2.00 vase that everyone in America has. I was furious!!! So then 2 weeks later they decided to charge my CC and it ended up being 43.00 !!!! REALLY, let me guess it took 8.00 worth of gas to go 5 blocks!!! ??? she never said anything about delivery, I just assumed that she would counter that with the 35.00???? who knows?? anyways, I will never shop there again, and just go with my gut and get on-line and have them delivered, what my mother received was NOT worth no 43.00.... I will never shop at this store again!!! I live out of town and ordered flowers for mothers day. Did the order online, order went thru i thought everything was ok...WRONG!!! Come to find out they don't deliver to Cherokee! 20-30 min away and you don't deliver?? Calls me 3 times & left messages on my answering machine to tell me that they don't deliver to Cherokee. The 2nd message was more them talking back and forth then leaving me a message. After getting in touch with them on Sunday & having them tell me again that they don't deliver to Cherokee i told them that they needed to revamp their website so it kicks back when someone orders to a town that they don't deliver to. She proceeded to tell me that they have nothing to do with the website its all teleflora well it has your name on it you should have something to do with it!!!! she argued with me and keep telling me that they don't deliver to Cherokee that's all she could say to me. Then tells me that they have the towns posted on there site of where they deliver~ i went back to look its there but in tiny letters and #s for the zip codes. People are not going to hunt on your site to look to see where in the hell you deliver at when the town its 30 min max from your store!!! i will never buy anything from this store again!!!! rude rude rude!!! read more
