With my 2-part visit, I was greeted both times by Demetrius, the Cashier, the Color Advisor (unbiased approach of course) & the Color Mixer. The 1st visit, he showed me around the enormous palettes of color where I got paint schooled...a touch up course never hurts. After 30 minutes of going back & forth with my hue of preferences, I selected my 2 swatches of color. On my next visit, Demetrius welcomed me back & asked if I was ready to mix those vibrant colors I picked out...nice for him to remember me. He juggled all the of customers including myself with an engaging & witty persona. My wait was just a few minutes until my unique cans of color was ready to go. The store is well kept & organized, even in the mixing area. There are many 'Did You Know or How To' stations throughout the store so you can self educate yourself & become a master of the brush, or roll or spray gun. I did an in-store sign up for their Paint Perks program & received an instant $10 off coupon that I was able to apply to my purchase. He was explaining something about how BM categorizes their paint collections. I was learning something new, but there was something that was bothering me about the guy. After a couple of minutes, I realized he wasn't masked. NONE of the people working in the store were masked. Not sure why they think the mask mandate in MoCo doesn't apply to them, but if they don't care enough about their customers or each other to put a mask on their faces when they're in contact with the public, I can easily say that's not a company I want to do business with. Eva quoted $35 to fix a lamp…read more Considering an entire rewiring kit at Ace is about $14 and a replacement socket alone is about $7 I agreed to let them fix the lamp. Problem 1: At pickup my lamp was tagged $55 for repair. Eva couldn't explain why, said the person was confused but she would charge me $35. Problem 2: Before bagging the lamp and driving back home with my lamp I ask Eva to plug it to confirm it turned back on. The lamp didn't turn on. Clearly it wasn't fixed or checked by anyone prior to calling me for pickup. Eva says leave it and I will have the repair person look again. Problem 3: Eva calls me back and says well the lamp should be rewired to replace the plug and thats going to be $65. I was quoted $35 to fix the lamp. The lamp should be fixed at the quoted price $35. The lamp should have been checked prior to calling for pickup. Complete waste of my time.
