I found them online as a vendor for Annie Sloan chalk paints. I was able to find their ig snd message them about availability. I made a quick trip in and out of the shop but everything in there was so cute! It looked like they were working on a project when I stepped in. I was able to receive more help from the owner in person- apparently the formula for paint changed for the "old white" from 2015~~. She guided me to what she thought would best match the old "old white". I purchased my paint and was on my way. I went in during the pandemic. Although I was the only customer, everyone I saw had a mask and was doing the right thing. It bugs me so much when businesses don't implement safety precautions when "no one is looking". Will definitely come back for paints and to browse around when I have more time! read more

Amazing! Ruth transformed a shabby chic cherry mahogany mid-century drop-leaf table from a flea-market find to a stunning dining room show piece. What is the most impressive thing about Ruth's work is that she is not satisfied until you are. She did a color match for the mid century walnut finish I was looking for and when it didn't turn out just right she refinished the entire top again and even offered to send me a small table during the extra time needed to redo the stain. She is a perfectionist and she has a great eye for detail. She and her team really know the furniture finish that will bring a piece back to its original grandeur. Ruth is fantastic! I had a truly unique project that I entrusted to Ruth: the vintage kitchen table my wife's family used for years - bought and finished by her departed dad and grandfather 50 years ago - had no place in our kitchen after our renovation last summer. But my wife couldn't bear to part with it. I decided to repurpose it as a mirror and make it a Mother's Day gift this year. Ruth did an amazing job transforming the table by sanding it and spraying on the perfect "factory-finish" white to match our living room. Then Ruth connected me with Chevy Chase Glass and brought the mirror-ready table to the glass company herself! I picked it up there, with the custom cut glass perfectly attached. As the name promises, every piece is UNIQUE. Such a refreshing change from all other (boring) furniture showrooms. Ruth is amazing. I had a vision of a secretary desk that had a little spark. I love the desk because of the curvaceous draws and claw foot design but dark would doesn't go with my personality or decor. Hence where Ruth comes in. I googled "furniture painting in DC" and bam! There was this website with antique furniture with vibrant colors. From the moment I spoke with her I knew she was more than capable of helping my vision become reality. She's not only knowledgeable but it's her attention to detail and commitment to making sure you're comfortable that really makes you think, I can trust her with my furniture. She took her time an showed me my options for paint colors and finishes (because I had no clue what I was looking for in terms of final product). She also showed me her gallery, both online and what was currently in her shop. Her husband was also a gem, helping me to bring the desk in and offering me water or tea while we consulted on the design. The desk was ready within two weeks as she estimated and I couldn't be more happy. Not only did she paint the desk as we discusses she also took extra steps to repair some damage. She even added a piece of felt on a ledge to prevent future damage. This was my first experience refurbishing anything and Ruth was simply amazing.
