It was corrected and hasn't failed. The plumber took the disposal off and said he wanted to try something before replacing it. He had brought one just in case. He wrenched the post of the disposal and something broke inside. Turns out a small bone had fallen into the disposal and was locking it up. The bone was withdrawn and the disposal worked. He could have just replaced our disposal and made more money, but chose to be of service, not taking advantage of the situation.

As soon as I told him that he said that doesn't like dealing with them because they are "a pain in the butt." He said that he wouldn't be able to do anything and would have to send another electrician out (he never did). He didn't seem to care at all. If we were a large corporation he probably would have done it since it would pay a large amount. But since it was residential and he would be paid by the warranty company he didn't even bother. If he would have bothered to stay more than 3 minutes I could've had the chance to tell him whatever the warranty company didn't cover we would have paid. If you are residential don't bother with him, go with somebody else. He was rude and didn't want to give our house the time of day.
