Excellent job! A reasonable price for an excellent job I didn't have to worry about anything.

I chose this company because of its perfect 5-star rating and because Edgar represented himself as…read moresomeone who could handle drainage, pavers, gutters, and related exterior work. Unfortunately, my experience was one of the most stressful home improvement projects I have ever undertaken. The project involved drainage improvements, catch basins, pavers, and foundation waterproofing. Throughout the project, I felt that I had to closely monitor the work daily to ensure that items discussed and included in the contract were actually completed. For example, catch basin baskets that contractually were included in the scope were ultimately not installed, and I was not informed of this change until I specifically asked about them near the end of the project. Another example occurred when the project was presented to me as complete even though the pavers had not yet been compacted and polymeric sand had not been installed. Those items were completed only after I questioned them, reinforcing my feeling that I needed to closely monitor the work to ensure the agreed-upon scope was fully carried out. Another concern arose when Edgar agreed to remove an existing fascia board as part of the project. Instead of first removing the fasteners, a member of his crew pried the fascia board off, causing damage to the underlying roof structure. The damage was significant enough that I later had to hire another contractor and spend thousands of dollars to properly repair it. Communication was the biggest issue. Estimates, responses, and follow-up were consistently late, and I often had to reach out multiple times just to get a reply. Now that the project is complete, I have called and texted multiple times for promised waterproofing pictures. Despite continuing promises, I have not received anything. The lack of communication, the need for constant oversight, the unresolved concerns about workmanship, and the failure to provide promised documentation made this a very stressful and disappointing experience. I understand that no project is perfect, but good contractors stand behind their work and communicate with their customers after the job is finished. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

Edgar and his crew members just left our property. The project was to do concrete repair and…read morepreventative measures to avoid our neighbors' tree roots from further encroaching into our property (we live on a zero lot line and the source of concrete and foundation damage was due to their tree roots). They finished the project within a day. We plan to use them again for a future project. As one ages, it becomes more important to find the right person for the job and to establish a relationship with that person in case you need him/her for a future project. This holds true for any type of service technician...be it a plumber, electrician, hvac tech, appliance repair tech, etc. You want to have a go-to person. Edgar is our go-to for drainage and concrete issues/projects. We had another quote from a different company that was relatively cheaper. We opted for Edgar because we felt comfortable with his knowledge and skills from our consultation with him, that he will provide the proper solution(s) to our needs. The prior company proposal seemed less comprehensive in meeting our needs. With the other company, it seemed we were given salesmen tactics and it felt that customer service was lacking. Not with Edgar. He responds back via our texts or phone calls..maybe not right away but that is understandable. ..he's busy and likely on job sites..but when he responds back, it's always communicative. If you see people who service you as extended family members who are here to help your needs and appreciate the fact that you can confidently pass a project over to someone else instead of handling it on your own..and this review resonates with you..then just go with Edgar and crew..you're welcome...lol
