Yogev and his crew including Cesar did a great job repairing our car port roof. We had pooling on the original flat roof and our home insurance threatened to drop us if we don't get it fixed. Yogev was very responsive to our request for a quote and even gave us a discount to match the lowest bid. After realizing that replacing the old roof did not solve the pooling issue, they quickly scheduled the team to come back, put on a sloped frame and added a brand new roof on top of the first one. Additionally they were able to add a gutter and drain for the new roof. All with reasonable price. Finally, the team did a great job hauling away old drainage pipes and trash. In-Person Consultation: We narrowed down three companies to come to our place to check our roof. One of those was Yogev's company, GTR. We found Yogev knowledgeable about roofs and construction in general. Yogev was sharp and thoughtful in describing the roof's durability and all the intricacies of setting up a sturdy roof that could last 30 to 50 years. Quote/Price: GTR's quote beat its competitors, and Yogev also gave seniors promos, for which we truly appreciated the additional discounts. The contract ensures they will remove all the old roofs, replace the wood damage, install drip edges on all facia boards, install all new vents, weather lock flex, metal flashings, ridge caps, and others (by Pasadena, CA code). The contract was apparent for both GTR and us, the owners. This transparency in the agreement made us feel informed and confident in our decision to choose GTR. Quick Response: It was also easy because Grace, GTR's Secretary, sent the contract through DocuSign. Grace was always reachable via correspondence--email, phone, or text. She was a joy to talk to and the best in her facilitation skills. The response was immediate, like Yogev and the whole GTR Team. They all provide excellent service before, during, and after the project. Work: My husband and I are Life Coaches and Trainers who work from home as Home-Based. We were very concerned about their noise, cleaning, the bathroom, and the interference while working. Yogev reassured us that the workers would have their portable toilet, they wouldn't bother us inside the house, the schedule would sent to us in advance, and they would even cover our pool and the floor with tarps and clean the place at the end of their work every day. Lo and behold, what he said was what happened. It was extraordinary! The Workers: The GTR Roofers were Señor Jesus, Enrique, Angel, Kevin, and Jesus. They allowed me to see their daily progress, and Señor Jesus explained where they were in their work and what was to happen. Their professionalism was evident in how they respected our property and reassured us about the quality of service we received. They were not just workers but became our friends, always ready to answer our questions and address our concerns. They were the masters of making the roof seamless. The color we chose was midnight black by Owens Corning. They even painted the chimney flue and others black when it was over. The color was consistent, and the design was artistic. Thank you so much, Pals! Schedule: The planner includes demolition, inspection by the City of Pasadena, materials delivery, installation, and polishing of the work here and there. The payment was divided into these parts, allowing us to cut the checks when their deliverables were accomplished. This payment structure was fair and transparent, giving us peace of mind that we were paying for the work as it was completed. The work started on November 4, 2024, and GTM finished the project on November 8, 2024. They came back for the painting of the chimney and others the following week. Cesar (GTM Inspector) inspected the roof, and Yogev (the owner) returned to follow up if there were still things that needed to be done. Inspection: The City of Pasadena inspection was incredibly thorough, conducted twice during and almost at the end of the project. GTR passed with flying colors! When I spoke to the Pasadena Inspector, he told me that our roof was in excellent condition and that he had no further recommendations. This level of scrutiny and the positive feedback from the inspector left us feeling secure about the quality of GTR's work. This confirms how great GTR is in their craft. Their leadership and experience showed all of this in their roofing expertise, providing us with a sense of relief and peace of mind. After finding a leak in my roof, I began researching companies and requesting bids for a new roof. I received several quotes at various price points, and despite Golden Team Roofing not being the best price, they were definitely the right choice! Several companies had many assumptions in their pricing, and if something went wrong, it would have added up quickly. In comparison, the team at Golden Team Roofing accounted for several factors like needing to replace plywood or fascia and rolled it all into their price. The team moved very fast through the process, and we went from bid to contract to permit to starting the job in only a matter of days. Once the job started, the team, led by Caesar, was extremely efficient, and the job quickly became the talk of my neighborhood as folks were in awe of their work quality and cleanliness. Throughout all the steps of the job, Caesar was very communicative, extremely responsive, and went above and beyond at every turn. I was so impressed that I started asking about what other work they could do, and the answer was all things exterior to the home. There was absolutely no pressure and very honest answers about what I should do thanks to Casear. In the end, I expanded the scope of the project to replace all fascia boards, longer 8" boards, better angled to protect the house, added rain gutters, and some additional overhang boards replaced, all painted a crisp white. Overall, my roof is beautiful, and it should last another 30 years. Plus, the new fascia and gutters give the home a very nice look and won't need maintenance for 8 years. I'm a single-family home developer and licensed general contractor. In these very intense, recent rains, a roof on one of our projects ( that were supposed to have five years of life left in it), started to fail. We immediately started getting bids from companies. Unfortunately when your roof is failing, hundreds/thousands of other roofs are failing at the same time, so getting anybody to come out and give a bid and do any work in a timely fashion was extremely difficult. I also found that many of the bids we got were not honest. Roofers were telling me the roof was far larger than it was. In roofer terms a "square" equals 100 ft. If you know the pitch of your roof, determining the number of squares is some basic high school geometry. I knew our roof was between 11 and 12 squares, or 1100 to 1200 ft.² in surface area. Guys were coming out and telling me it was 16 squares, 15 squares. So this was either completely bogus, or they couldn't do some fairly basic math, either way, I didn't want to hire them. And legit companies that gave me decent quotes often couldn't do the work for weeks. That wasn't gonna help with more storms on the way. Cesar and the guys at Golden Team roofing were great. He showed up on time, he knew what he was doing, he quickly calculated the proper size of the roof, exactly what I knew it to be, and he gave me a bid that was fair and reasonable. On top of that, since we had rains that were going to arrive in the next 36 hours, he had his guys come out and tarped the roof at no cost to me. I appreciated that their quote really was all-in; other places were giving quotes with caveats about how there would be an extra charge if the dump truck couldn't fit in the driveway or the supply truck couldn't fit in the driveway or there would be an extra charge if there were multiple layers of shingles and Golden Team Roofing's quote was encompassing of the unforeseen. Another thing that I liked, or that I appreciated was that when we had solar removed so that the roof could be replaced Yogev made sure to send his crew to patch up the exposed holes from the solar because rain was coming before the roof was going to be replaced, and that was without extra charge and a really nice touch. Yoghi and his team with Ceasar as his project lead were super helpful and knowledgeable about all things roofing. This included working with skylights and gutters as well as a flat portion of our 2400 sq. Ft. roof (which is super tricky), and being generally helpful to make sure the process was pain and hassle free. I had about five quotes from very reputable companies on Yelp! and I ended up picking Golden Team because they have done major projects in my city and are familiar with our city inspectors and the process. All quotes from each company ranged from $28k-$33k. They are licensed, bonded and insured and I appreciate them being up front about that, especially with workers compensation insurance, and that was important to me because roofing has a high rate of injury, generally. Their team was professional and cleaned up and repaired what was necessary from my old roof including ripping out and replacing boards and ply wood. Yhey even repaired any damage done during demo free of charge. They were up front about all costs and understood the importance of getting lien releases form the suppliers (which is important for materials purchasing because you don't want the suppliers to place a lien on your house just because your roofer purchased on credit.) All in all it was a two week process in the middle of summer (which is the best time to do it) from demolition to finishing touches, with two inspections in between. My roof is beautiful and we're ready for the rainy season. read more

I could not be happier with the entire team at Golden Team Roofing, especially Yogi. I sourced multiple bids for a full roof replacement OR a partial fix - and consensus was that we would be better served replacing the entire roof. Obviously this is a large project and with a large price tag - but Golden Team came in at the right price. They weren't the lowest cost out of all the bids I sourced - but Yogi was incredibly forthcoming and knowledgeable about all elements of the roof replacement and was very adept and explaining each cost and each step of the process. Plus, he called when he said he would call, and showed up when he said he was going to show up. In my experience, this is uncommon in his industry, and it made a WORLD of difference to be treated with such respect. My husband and I have been burned in the past by another roofing company (who came to do work for a few days then left our roof UNFINISHED for literal weeks) - so Yogi and his team were even kind and accommodating enough to include some extra verbiage in our final contract in order to put my mind at ease about timeline and expectations. Summary: In the last 55 years I have had work done for me by many contractors from excavation to roofing. I can unequivocally say that Yogev (Yogi) from Golden Team Roofing stands head & shoulders above all others. Price, Quality of work, Promptness & above all communication - all. are important factors for me & Yogi gets 5 stars in all of these categories. Details: 1. Situation: Our roof was old - age unknown, we bought it 6 years ago. We had no leaks but in parts of the rear roof - shingles were curling up. That started our journey to meet Yogi. 2. Search: As always, I started the search on Yelp (kudos to yelp for making our life easier, better & for helping us get the best for our $$). I chose 7 roofers with 4 stars or better ratings - read all their reviews, looked for any coupons/promos & called each one for an interview & a quote. One of the roofers was from San Bernardino area with good ratings for quality & price. 3. Interview & Quote: The appointments ranged from several days after the call to one roofer (understandably so as he does not serve our area but was willing to do it - giving a quote by just looking at my roof on google ). The first roofer was a hard seller - offering a discount if I made my decision within a day. He happened to be the first guy to show up - needless to say that I would not do a major project without having at least 3 quotes ( eventually it turns out that his quote was 30% more than most other quotes). Yogi showed up within 2 hours after the call - called me 20 minutes before advising me that he was on his way. He came, measured the roof, gave 2 quotes - one for the rear roof only & another for the entire roof replacement. He explained the materials he was going to use, his warranty etc. He also included to replace part of the facia that showing some wear & tear. He then offered me a $500 discount coupon that I was not aware of. I asked Yogi to modify the bid taking out the budgeted cost for up to 20% free wood replacement & instead pay for any wood used - he readily complied. Yogi's quote was not the lowest but reasonable & with the discount it was comparable. He gave me the approx schedule for start & end of the job & the payment schedule, & showed me samples of the materials - the underlayment & the shingles. Taking all this into account including my comfort level of working with Yogi I chose to go with the Golden Team Roofing. Contract Document was specific, transparent & fair - signing was a breeze as it was a docusign process. The work was supposed to start in about 10 days but 2 days after signing, Yogi called asking if he could start it on the following day (3rd day after signing) - a pleasant surprise & we welcomed the change. 4. Process: The crew came sharp at a few minutes before 8am - finished taking off the old roof off to bear wood by early afternoon & hauling off all debris & leaving the place nice, clean & ready for the inspector. Yogi came that afternoon - checked out the work , informed me of the pending inspection & had me select the shingles, picked up partial payment & showed me some of the wood they had replaced. The day after the inspector approved to proceed - the crew showed up again on time & finished the roof by end of day. 5. Quailty of work : Appearance (real quality of a roof can only be tested by real or artificial rain - which we did not have ) was very satisfactory. To enhance the roof appearance from the street They had replaced the edge tiles on the other half of the roof which was not part of the contract. The work was done in a prompt & efficient manner, good quality, left the place in really good, clean manner - not even a single piece of broken shingle left behind. They kept me informed of the process all along, Yogi was available (by phone) to answer any question (which I did). Overall - I cannot see any reason to give less than a 5 star review. read more

Everything you require in a contractor. Fair price, stays in touch with progress reports, shows up when they schedule the start date, continue working on your project till it is finished. Asked for progress payments when appropriate and Yogi never pressured us for payments that were not yet due. It's rare to find all of these qualities in one contractor.
