Jose and his crew provided exceptional service and value from the very start of our painting project. Punctuality: Jose arrived right on time for all of our appointments. From quoting to the first day of the project, Jose showed up to my home exactly when he stated he would. How may times have you had contractor/painter be less than 30 minutes late, let alone right on time or early? Exactly. That was important to me as a parent of two and business owner--no time to waste, especially in the mornings. Bidding/value: JR's pricing is competitive with the market. Jose offered me a great rate, including professional discount costs for the paint itself. He was honest in attempting to use my old paint for touch ups, letting me know that he would try his best to salvage it before buying new paint. Jose was also up front in managing the expectations of touch up vs. full repainting. Sometimes it is not possible to touch up a section that is too damaged, requiring the entire wall to be repainted. He was open with me about the feasibility of touching up and I appreciated that frankness. Workmanship: exceptional. JR's crews know what they are doing. Painting might look easy, but it is not. From properly taping off sections, to adequately covering floors with tarping/plastic, to the application of the paint itself, JR displayed its exemplary knowledge of the craft. There was significant damage to my dry wall that needed repair prior to paint. The repairs are virtually indiscernible. Other places needed sanding prior to paint, which was also done with diligence and care. I was especially pleased with the level of cleanup and replacement of fixtures, furniture, etc. I have an expensive/delicate drum set that needed to be moved, as well as a ton of items in the laundry space. Everything was properly moved into my garage and put back into place when the job was completed. Extra mile(s): Jose was communicative and highly responsive from start to finish. I never had to wait more than a few minutes to receive a reply to my questions. That is another invaluable component to construction-renovation projects. Far too many contractors are slow to respond, creating undue delays. This was an especially nice touch: I requested that JR help me recycle my old paint. I did not expect that they would do this for me, but Jose immediately agreed and even had his associate call me to confirm/drive to my home to retrieve the old cans (there were tons of them!). That is the kind of service I love--he did not have to do that and I would have been fine with him denying my request, but he went the extra mile for me. Their advice was solid and helpful, and shows that they understand the products and materials they're working with. They were punctual and reliable, and got the job done in the amount of time (and budget) that they initially quoted. We just purchased our home 2 months ago, built in 1947. After several weeks of research to find the right company and several bids later, we chose JR Quality Painting. Jose and his crew did such an awesome job on retexture of the entire house, interior and exterior paint including crown and baseboards. They even closed off a wall that had an unnecessary door. The communication from Jose is excellent, crew arrived at 8am on the dot and wrapped up daily at 5pm. I would highly recommend this company. I hired "J. R. Quality Painting, Inc." for exterior painting in mid-October, 2017. It was a bad experience. (1) The job they did was not good, not done as discussed at the time for estimate. After painting, the site was very dirty with lot of dust. Paint drops were left here and there. (2) During painting, garden lamps were damaged. 5 of the 10 bulbs were broken, caps were out of position, and cable connectors stopped working. Garden gate was hit and it is now hard to open or close it. "J. R. Quality Painting" didn't get them repaired. The president of the company, Jose Rodriguez said, due to their heavy tools, damage something during painting can easily happen. If the cost is below $200/$300, they will NOT repair, customer should take the cost. Otherwise, he will increase the negotiated price. Very unreasonable! (3) Jose also said, customer should check out the job before his team left on the last day. If problems were missed pointing out before they left, they will NOT come back to get it fixed. Very irresponsible! (4) Jose may agree/promise something today and then takes back tomorrow. Very hard to trust him. (5) The initial price was comparable with other companies, however, if you want to add something during painting, a high price was asked. Do NOT recommend J. R. Quality Painting for any paining service. read more

Sam's crew painted the inside of our house a couple of years ago and did an outstanding job! We are getting ready to paint the outside this spring/summer and there is NO ONE else I would use. Sam is very curteous and extremely fair. What I was most impressed with was that he does not nickle and dime you to death, unlike SO MANY OTHER contractors. When he gives you a price, that's it, you can write the check because he's not going to come back a week later and add things on. I really can't imagine a better painting company than Sam's Quality Painting. All my life I have thought that there isn't a good painting company anywhere. All those I have had before I hired Sam were unacceptable. But not Sam! He and his painters are the best! First, they prepped thoroughly. They spent weeks sanding and scraping, and this made the biggest difference. While his workers prepped, Sam helped me decide the colors. He painted as many swatches of color on our house as I needed. Throughout the job they used techniques to ensure good quality, such as not masking to make the paint goes right into the junciton between the wood and the glass. And when they were done, they carefully moved everything they had needed to move to paint back into the proper place, with no damage! I now think our house looks so beautiful, after the paint job we received from Sam's Quality Painting. read more
