Upon his arrival i decided to open two places just in case to check for roots or any other issues. I was surprised how easy was for me to cut through the blacktop with smal grinder. Both places had 1-1.25" of compressed asphalt! The driveway standards are 2-3"compacted. He came and the very first thing he did he measure the thickness its like he knew whats the problem. I told him that the thickness should be twice as much what he did. His respond was that he do 2-3" before compacting the material. Its obvious he is going cheap with material. He knew they did mistake. Didn't say much and told me he will speak with his partner. After that they blocked our phones. Called from another number and he said he will step by on Sunday which he didnt. The steps to our home. At first its a nice job but yet two contractors who came to me mentioned that there is problem with the pitch. There is bump in the middle causing the rain accumulating the water towards the door and not away from it. Since he act like this, his license will be revoked and our village will ban him from performing any kind of work in our area. Advice to everybody who hired him to document every step he does and make sure you have all in writing.

He tried to recitify, but a poor job was already done and the bricks were stained with a white film. In addition, they ruined the paint job on areas our porch by blasting water and making it peel away and left my front door filthy.

From the beginning, he was very forceful in pushing us to sign the contract and pay upfront. Once the job started, he was almost never at the site, leaving workers unattended. He took it upon himself to do more demolition than expected, leaving our home torn apart and in an unlivable condition, then pushed for additional work and more money. He is a smooth talker and uses that to get out of situations where he doesn't want to tell the truth. What was said verbally did not match what actually happened. He did not provide a proper itemized list, and what was eventually given did not match the price outlined in the contract. His pricing and actions were inconsistent, and the work that was done was incomplete and handled irresponsibly. We ultimately had to terminate the contract because we did not feel comfortable continuing with him. Despite paying around $21,000 for only a few days of work, we were left with no choice but to move forward on our own and finish the kitchen with a different company. We were left with exposed walls, insulation, and unfinished work, while being asked to pay significant amounts that did not reflect the actual progress. We have filed with Consumer Affairs and are currently seeking counsel to recover the lost funds for the work not completed. Based on our independent findings, the entity we contracted with does not appear to have jurisdiction to perform construction work in Nassau County, and instead only holds a landscaping license under Nassau County. They dragged the project out endlessly and completely failed to properly waterproof the pool. When water immediately began leaking, they insisted the problem was just "humidity in the room" -- despite the fact that my room has zero humidity. They repeatedly told me to just fill the pool with water and the issue would magically resolve itself, which was a blatant lie. Later, Nelson claimed that applying grout would somehow fix the waterproofing -- as if grout could hold back constant water pressure, which any professional would know is absurd. Large areas of the pool floor were left hollow and unfinished, and after texting both Nelson and Melody over 40 times to come back and fix their endless mistakes, they simply vanished without finishing the job. They ignored every attempt I made to resolve this professionally. I gave them chance after chance to make it right, but they showed complete disregard for their work, their contract, and basic honesty. I am now preparing a major lawsuit against them and I will be ensuring that the public knows exactly how deceitful and incompetent this company is. RUN away from MelNel LLC. I have had good experiences, and while I am sure there are other reputable awning companies out there, I see no reason to "re-invent the wheel" and try some unknown entity when it comes to awnings in the future.
