Today, a truck labeled G & F Oliveros Landscaping was driving down my street and I called the number and I could not be happier with what happened next. I called the number and a gentleman from the company came out and gave an estimate to dig up some old shrubs, cut the grass, do a spring cleanup and plant new box hedges. I accepted the estimate and within 30 minutes his crew began working on my front and back yard. They were very professional, took all of the yard debris away and finished the work in under 1.5 hours. Perhaps it was their first job with me 4 years ago but I have learned a lot since they came and…read morewent. They did paver walkways and around thee pool at my house. The mistakes and poor workmanship are far tooo many to list here. They didn't even use polymeric sand as they were supposed to for the entire job. They did not lay a concrete foundation for the pavers, drilled holes for the pool ladder in the wrong spot requiring me to buy a new ladder, and there is much much more. My neighbor had recommended them but has now cut ties due to another job they screwed up. NOW, about 4 years later (the problems started at 1 year) I have to hire someone to power wash between my pavers, reset many of them and properly install the polymeric sand as should have been done at first. The pavers are tilting away from the walkway and the whole area that was not properly installed (most of it) needs to be re-done. Unless Corey has learned since doing my job how to do this work professionally, I would stay away from him. When confronted with the workmanship he was hostile to the point where he was intimidating and just stuck with the fact that he underestimated the cost. Now after all this time I have finally gotten the gumption to tell the story as it was. I have photos for proof of how he left the property. So, should you decide to use this firm, learn first about how it's supposed to be done and them watch and make certain they do it correctly.

We lined the larger driveway with a small retaining wall along my neighbors side. Everyone of his guys are cordial and they all seem to work like a well oiled machine. After having other companies to give estimates I'm so happy we decided on pure! Everything came out so perfectly we've already contracted with them for a new built in BBQ and firepit this spring. I had a very unusual experience with Basic Landscaping. I hired them to plant trees and shrubs on…read moremy property and signed a contract for $53K. When they were done, they charged me additional $2300 for planting extra plants, which was never discussed with me before it was allegedly done. Nevertheless, I paid additional money without saying anything. At the end Basic asked me if I wanted to sign a maintenance contract. I declined because it was very expensive considering the amount of work being proposed, required inclusion of lawn maintenance (I do that myself), and also had language regarding dumping yard waste on my property. The biggest issue I had with Basic was that they planted the wrong trees and refused to replace them. The centerpiece of my landscape design were three trees with bright yellow and red leaves. Basic planted a green leaf variety of the same tree, completely ruining my landscape design intent. When I complained about this, during the warranty period, Basic initially tried blaming me since I did not sign a maintenance contract, probably assuming I was too ignorant to figure out what happened. When that argument did not fly, they tried blaming the plant material supplier, which again had nothing to do with a $53K planting contract I had with Basic. Finaly, after many months of stalling, they said that I complained too late. I understand that sometimes mistakes happen, however I found it unusual that a contractor who made a mistake would aggressively attack me, in writing, and refuse to do anything to correct a problem. Additional to the problems described above, another Basic proposal, to address the lawn flooding issue, had a ridiculous solution - move the water from one end of the lawn to another, and the proposed price was incredibly high considering it involved two guys with shovels for a day.

Our project includes replacing the current patio with pavers, building a new walkway, replacing two…read morestoops with blue stone and replacing the existing asphalt driveway with a concrete driveway. After getting proposals from 5 contractors, we decided to go with LIMC for the project. Tommy and his son came by twice to ensure the measurements are correct and their proposal is one of the most competitive in terms of pricing. I wanted to have a concrete base for the pavers because my previous patio was set on regular gravel base and had settled unevenly after just two years. The whole project took about two weeks from start to finish. Tommy's crew worked efficiently without cutting any corners. You can definitely tell that they are experienced with concrete and masonry. We decided to go with the Cambridge Toffee Onyx ledgestone pavers with Mocha Border. For the driveway, we went with graphite colored concrete with pavers circle and apron. The result was spectacular. I have gotten so many compliments from neighbors on my driveway. The blue stone stoops were excellent as well. In conclusion, Tommy and his men did a fantastic job with the patio, walkway, stoops and driveway. I highly recommend LIMC.

Price was excellent, being a widow and in my 60's, and saving for like 3 years I was so happy. I told his son, great let's do it. He said his dad will call me later or the next day. I waited, his dad never called, so I called. I gave him the address, and told him I would go with the pavers and quoted him the price his son Tommy, jr. gave me, he said, no that is incorrect and upped the price $700 without any paperwork in front of him, just upped it. I was a bit taken back but I said okay, I still want it done. He said okay, and I asked where do I go to get pavers, he gave me an address near the courthouse by Garden City, I picked them out, told the woman Raquel what I wanted, she text him the info and I didn't hear from him. I called him again and he made up some bullshit. That was 3 weeks ago and I never heard from him again. Maybe the size of my yard wasn't big enough, who the hell knows. What a huge disappointment this man is, and I still wish him well. Hope his children do better in life, the son seemed super nice. Oh well, that's what happens when you trust the wrong people. I did get someone else. So I am happy about that..
