They did the actual work which was pretty hard removing gravel and laying topsoil ... the issue I had is that he laid grass seed and it never germinated ... or it germinated in patches ... al said he would comeback but never did which is bad business ... he also left an exposed gas pipe that he SAID he would come BACK and bury ... I was kinda disappointed because I wanted to trust in a brother ... I was told not to use him ... but I went against my better judgement and got burned ... read more

So here I am reviewing at the end of my first season with Al and I could not be happier. My lawn is the best its ever looked in 15 years. The other day a friend asked if it was sod. He is so good at what he does and really works hard for you to be pleased. This was the first time I went small business vs a large landscaping company. Started out OK. He did get the weeds on a new property somewhat under control. Its a shame because he could have kept my account for 20 years. But then he started double charging me on invoices as if I couldnt read them and wouldnt catch it. He showed up with a truck full of mulch and said "im gonna store this in your driveway so its here when you need it" I said no, then he said "ok ill leave it behind the fence" he put it down in a spot where I was about to pour a slab and then charged an astronomical amount for applying mulch. The last straw was trying to charge me over 1000 bucks for de-thatch, aerate, overseed. Other quotes for the same were around 400. When I questioned Alfonso on this he dropped quickly to 750. Thats a day late and a buck short. Could have kept my account but got greedy. Also he left my gate open multiple times when I specifically told him my dog would escape. He showed up at different times, on different days, and once I had visitors and he and his employee had my entire walkway covered with diet and debris so that we had to use the back entrance. For the prices he asks, that walkway should stay clear. The very very last thing I recall that I decided to end services: his employee took his shirt off on a hot summer day, it must have been sweaty. No problem. But he decided to air dry it on the bannister of my front door. Your sweaty employee's landscaping T shirt is not my problem. I dont air dry my own laundry on my front bannister. That was egregious. Dont overpay. Keep searching. read more

Called Leaf it to Us to have tons of compacted ice & snow removed from my mother's house which had been dumped by the town's snow plows. She was literally trapped. Al came at once, called & emailed an estimate and came back the following day to do an excellent job. And he is a real delight to deal with.
