Some of the graves date to people that passed, who would have been over 200 years old! Lots of military and vets. When we visited on Memorial Day 2023, nearly all the plots had gorgeous fresh flowers and American Flags, beautifully decorated by loved ones. We came to honor those who served our country. Those who so selflessly gave their lives and those who still do so in service. This was the 2023 Romeo Memorial Day parade and ceremony. This was were the parade commenced, and the ceremony was about an hour long. We found a beautiful spot on the fresh cut grass and spent a beautiful afternoon paying tribute to all the men and women who have and continue to service our country, so we can be blessed with the freedom we have. Before the parade, volunteers passed out purple ribbon pins with a red/white/blue ribbon for us to wear to show our support. The Romeo band did an amazing job playing patriotic songs. When the ceremony was ended, all attendees were invited back the to local VFW hall for a lunch. It was a well put together event, and I look forward to attending annually with my family.

Not only did they lack compassion, they lacked accuracy, communication, organization, etc. I hope they either learned from how they inflicted more heart break (easily avoided if they acted in a professional manner) or their business closes so no one else has to jump through hoops to correct their mistakes while grieving over a loved one.

This is as bare bones/no frills/bare minimum that you can get. Nobody went out of their way to even ask if we needed anything at any point during the day. The greeter sat on a chair in the hallway with a grumpy face and watched people walk in. It could have been worse, at least nobody was rude to us like i read in the other comments. I cant leave a good review though as i like having all the stuff they dont offer. Could i just get a self serve cup of coffee at least? Come on... never coming back.

She was a kindergarten teacher for 20 years, and they had set up a childrens desk with kids books, crayons, etc, as well as a beautiful poster sized photo of my mom from my wedding, the guestbook pages were a photo of her dancing when she was sixteen, and the plaque was beautiful- a collage of her young and at sixty. They took the time for personalized programs of her life story, and were very accomidating to our family. They were able to take all the pain and sickness she had been enduring over the last five years, and make her look beautiful, young and healthy again. The website is also beautiful, offering condolences, information about the service, obituary, as well as a photo gallery and an area to share a story. It's so hard to not have her here, and the grief is horrendous, but at least Martin Funeral Home, and its staff, gave her the beautiful ceremony that such a lovely and wonderful lady deserved.
