Staff didn't even acknowledge me or take my order in the 20 minutes I was there waiting at the bar. The place wasn't busy, there were maybe 3 other pairs of people at the bar and 2 tables taken up. It was 6 PM on a Thursday so the place was close to empty. The bartender was too busy talking to the barback and didn't even take my order. In that time, he checked on other customers at the bar then returned to his conversation with his coworker. It's never good for a bartender to do the rounds and ignore a client that hasn't yet been served ESPECIALLY on a slow night. This type of treatment can make a client feel profiled or discriminated against. Nothing else to say about this, never going back and I'll gladly recommend other places to people looking for a GOOD bar in McAllen.

When we got there there was only 2 tables available both dirty and people coming in behind us having worked in the business all my life we sat at a dirty empty table and so did the guy behind us who turned out to be waiting for his date. When bar and wait staff are busy rule is don't make eye contact with a patron you can not currently assist I understand this and not a problem. Staff was busting their behinds. 20 minutes later guy that came behind us was having his table cleaned and attended my brother decided 30 minutes after sitting at our table to go to the bar was served and came back. 40 minutes later I tried the same bartender sent manager my way. I'd been patient again staff doing there best no issues there. The manager looking cool and laid back while staff is running and sweating earning their money. Decides it's my fault for sitting at a dirty table and that staff was incapable of telling we sat at one of two empty tables while more people were still coming in. They had a girl training who could have been cleaning those tables since it was to busy to have a trainy following an established server. After all table turn over means more money for staff and business. After the game this manager decides to start helping pre bus tables after staff didn't need it anymore. That's my only issue.
