Very cool place and very new to McAllen! All the beers they brew here we had and they are tasty. They offer a tasting flight! The food menu is great! The pizzas were delicious. We will be back!

Such a great watering hole! Convenient location for us, but it's easy to miss since it's tucked away in the back of the shopping strip so keep your eyes peeled! They offer a wide variety of drinks and the beer they brew there, of course! They also have a great food menu. I ordered the Howling Torta, which was delicious. There's a large patio area, as well as, indoor dining. They have cooling fans outside to make sure you don't over heat! Plenty of TV screens to go around. It is kid friendly. My only gripe is that the service was lacking. It took about 20 min to get in a drink order and I had to ask for refills multiple times since our server kept forgetting. Hopefully that will improve. Still worth a try!

They were out of their own mediocre beers. So I had a Yellow Rose from another brewery instead. Food is okay, not great.

I have no pictures but the pozole well season so tasty and a huge portion. I had the combo two barbacoa tacos and the pozole both so good, garnished with cilantro, cebolla, lemon and cabbage. The mimosa tower and the mini pancakes were my dessert !! There was some dancing and After a very satisfying breakfast we had a tequila, this a Mexican tradition to have it as a digestive not as a shot ! A nice surprise was that it was served with both lemon and oranges slides also very traditional in Mexican Restaurants ! So while in Mc Allen it's a must you go and visit !

I hadn't even finished my food when she was asking if we wanted the tab already. I should have asked if she was kicking us out already. My husband felt like we were being judged and treated like we didnt have money. Then when she brings us our change she is standing there waiting for the tip. I am a server myself and never treat guest based on how they are dressed and much less wait for a tip.

I arrived a little after 3pm and there were just a few people inside. I was waited on pretty quickly, I think the waiter was just waiting to see where I settled. My waiter Aaron was friendly and attentive, and *tried to suggest something. The problem was, there were too many things I wanted to try! I settled on the fried oysters with a side of cajun fries. The oysters had a delicious seasoning and were well cooked. My only complaint was I felt they had too much breading to appreciate the oyster inside. Again, the breading was delicious - just too much. You get about 10 oysters. The fries were well seasoned as well, and quite plentiful. For dessert I had the caramel banana pie. It looked delicious, but for me, it was just too over the top. For the expense, I certainly would not order again. Speaking of "expense", this place is more in the "medium" price range and not something I would go to on a regular basis for lunch. It was good, and definitely maybe more of a dinner spot. Nice change of pace kind of place!

When we got there there was only 2 tables available both dirty and people coming in behind us having worked in the business all my life we sat at a dirty empty table and so did the guy behind us who turned out to be waiting for his date. When bar and wait staff are busy rule is don't make eye contact with a patron you can not currently assist I understand this and not a problem. Staff was busting their behinds. 20 minutes later guy that came behind us was having his table cleaned and attended my brother decided 30 minutes after sitting at our table to go to the bar was served and came back. 40 minutes later I tried the same bartender sent manager my way. I'd been patient again staff doing there best no issues there. The manager looking cool and laid back while staff is running and sweating earning their money. Decides it's my fault for sitting at a dirty table and that staff was incapable of telling we sat at one of two empty tables while more people were still coming in. They had a girl training who could have been cleaning those tables since it was to busy to have a trainy following an established server. After all table turn over means more money for staff and business. After the game this manager decides to start helping pre bus tables after staff didn't need it anymore. That's my only issue. Besides that it's a great place.

First off, let me say it's just a small place. A true "hole in the wall" as far as inside dining but they do have a nice space outside; a beer garden. The menu is pretty limited with a few appetizers, a total of maybe 6-8 entrees and a couple desserts. Our friends did appreciate the various beers and wines. We started with a freshly baked pretzel, served with either chocolate or Nutella to dip into or a nice spicy mustard. The pretzel wasn't heavily salted which was nice and had a really nice flavor. For my entree I chose the Jagersnitzel, a thin pork cutlet pounded thin, breaded, fried in what I perceived to be butter and then covered with a delicious creamed mushroom gravy. It was OUTSTANDING! I've had the same dish before at several German restaurants and this was superior to all of them. The crust, fried in butter? And the cream gravy? Oh wow.... Oh and the sides... red cabbage and fried potatoes with onions. All great German comfort food and very tasty. Several of our friends ordered the same entree with different sides. My wife had a very nicely presented salad as one of her side dishes. Another friend had spetzle which she said was really good, maybe a touch salty but good nonetheless. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and said we'd definitely return next season at least once or twice. The service was timely, not hovering and we had plenty of time to chat, definitely not rushed. Waters were refilled promptly, drinks reordered, etc. We appreciated that they did not automatically add in the tip of 18% for our party of eight as is customary at so many restaurants. In the end I'm certain she received a far greater amount than the 18%. Be aware this place is small and out of the way. Difficult to find even. It is on the west side of Ware Rd, which is a divided roadway at that point and you can only make a right hand turn into what appears to be a narrow roadway back past another business before seeing the building that houses the restaurant. But rest assured... it is there. There is signage on the west side of Ware. Follow your GPS. It is well worth the drive out to this restaurant. Prices aren't too high, the food is great and you'll enjoy a nice leisurely meal.

It's Saturday evening and the place is closed. We were expecting a nice dinner and beer but no What…read moregives!
