What I really appreciated was that they explained why bids were coming in so high at the time (2021) and said they'd wait to give the bid until we had the permit since pandemic pricing should have improved. All we had to do was pay $500 to hold my place in line (we didn't have to -- it was an option). When the permit finally came in a year later (DREC delays), the bid they gave us was $20K less than what I'd gotten the year before from another outfit and they were able to come and start working within a month.
