My next-door neighbor, (fortunately), spotted water running from my front door. To make a long story short, my condo manager recommended United Restoration; they used them before and were well pleased. From what I understand, United Restoration came out almost immediately and started the mitigation process. I arrived to see my home 2 days later. I cried when I saw it but according to my neighbors it looked good compared to what it was. United Restoration packed up my stuff efficiently and I easily found what I needed. They dried out the house very quickly - still in the drying process - and because they got there so quickly it appears there will be no mold problems. They are still in the drying/packing process. I met with Joe Pino, the Manager and estimator, the next business day. He explained clearly the damages and what will be needed; he is dealing with the Insurance company as well. They are a full-service company, so I won't be worrying about contractors, etc. They also are dealing with the insurance company. I cannot tell you how pleased and greatful for the work they are doing.

Communication was very poor--Luis, the person handling appointments, rarely returned calls, and we had to repeatedly follow up just to get basic updates. They even canceled on the same day they were supposed to come, which caused delays and a lot of inconvenience. Because of this, we decided to cancel the project altogether. During an earlier visit, their technician Ben tightened two outlet screws and replaced a GFCI outlet using our own materials. Before he did the work, I specifically asked about the cost and was told it would be free. After we canceled the project, we were unexpectedly charged $350 for that small task--without any approval from us. When I called to question the charge, Luis laughed and said "this is how it goes," which was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. Overall, very disappointing experience. Poor communication, unreliable scheduling, and unexpected charges without consent. I would not recommend this company.
