We already had an itinerary in mind, but he is happy to provide recommendations if you're new to the area. In fact, he did take us to one place not on our list and we fell in love with it. Since Ken has established good relations with many of the wineries in Paso, most of them extended special discounts to us. We enjoyed the convenience and comfort of having our own vehicle -- being able to stay and linger at our own pace. Plus Ken provided good company and great service -- he handled all of our wine purchases during the day, and even marked them so we knew which belonged to whom.

He said there had been a delay, but that the driver was on their way and would arrive in 20 minutes. 20 minutes, no driver. I called my contact, he said it would be another 10 minutes. 10 minutes, no driver. Called again....at this point, he decided to stop answer my phone calls. Real professional, right? Luckily, we spoke to the hotel and they referred us to some other limo companies, one of which we booked a last minute tour with. (Elegant Image - I would give them 4 or 5 stars, highly recommend!) An hour and a half after the tour with AYS was supposed to begin I get a call from the driver. She has arrived and is ready for us. I told her we no longer required her services as we booked with another company. She actually had the nerve to act put out. I'm sorry, what would she have done in our position when they weren't answering our calls?! I went to the door of the room and looked in to the parking lot and saw the limo driving away. At this point, I get even more pissed at AYS limo. The limo he had sent was totally 80's fully equipped with the boomarang antenae on the trunk. I would say a 20 year old limo is more than a slightly older model!! Bottom line don't use these guys, unprofessional, unreliable.

It was great having a place that you can have the ceremony, then walk to the cocktail area, then go inside for dinner and then back outside for the festivities. The back drop for the venue was perfect with rolling hills of green and even though the sun was out and blaring, the breeze kept everything actually on the cold side. The dining room was elegant and fun to be in with a full kitchen just outside attached. I guess they have a house next door where the wedding party and the bride and groom can all stay at while onsite. Than also another house just up a hill where they hosted the brunch the day after and that was also really nice and a lot of room. All the food I tried was delicious and I did eat way too much! As a bed and breakfast, too, this winery offered a nice Viognier that I picked up for my neighbor as well as some blended reds whose varietal names escape my wine-muddled memory. The tasting host was a cheery guy who informed us that his wine club was a mob-themed club sporting fedoras and a life time of dedication lest they be excused closed-coffin style. Huge walk in shower, two sinks, a claw foot tub. A room for the toilet. The room has a fireplace and flat screen TV, a large closet room. Room is upstairs. There are three rooms for the place. We stayed during the big state fair in town and I believe the people in both of the other rooms went to the fair. I did get a bit scared when the couple down stairs was coming home at 3am. Their door is outside but it sound like some one was breaking in. Stayed in July and was grateful for the ceiling fan and the fact that it does cool down at night. We were able to open windows and turn on the ceiling fan to cool down the room. Paso Robles get very warm in the summer. 100 both days we were there. A bit outside of town but nothing too far to make it not worth it. Breakfast in the morning was nice. Standard breakfast. Not your typical sit down let me serve you B&B breakfast. More here is a buffet help yourself. Can sit inside or out on their porch. Glad we got to experience the place. A bit shocked at the cost of a glass of wine ($10) when staying at the place but they have a right to charge what they want.
