Dr. Nelson stated last year that I needed a new crown to replace an old one. At that time I was told they would check with my insurance for co-pay etc. I had appointments subsequently and asked what was going on with the status of the crown; same answer they were "checking " authorization. Fast forward to 2022. I had called the office consistently asking for a status. Then it was revealed they use a third party to process claims. I was frustrated and they then said I could call, but why should I do that? My insurance coverage is clear and I never had a problem with billing etc. At Dr. Nelson's recommendation I recently went to an endodontist for a root canal. No problem there with checking and billing; all done promptly. The office personnel got tired of my constant calls and they arbitrarily dismissed me as a patient. Completely out of line, unprofessional and quite frankly the lengthy time I had to wait for a response to the crown is, well I'd say is professional disregard.
