I found other realtors exaggerate what they know about the area, some are doing this part time and inexperienced and worse come across as used car salesmen trying to get you into something as soon as possible. Donna gives realtors a good name and appears to love what she is doing. During the process of working with Donna, I was always in control - she was there to help me, which is not the impression you get with other realators. I have worked with Mari twice: first when seeking to rent an apartment that she listed; second, when my lease was ending, as she searched (on behalf of my landlord) for the apartment's future occupants. I cannot emphasize strongly enough how rude, unprofessional, and frankly negligent Mari has been. In the first instance, I needed an apartment in advance of a move to the Cambridge area and was not able to view the unit before signing a lease. Mari grossly misrepresented the apartment in question, assuring me that decades-old photographs were current photos and convincing me that the apartment was in much better quality than it actually was. In my second dealing with her, Mari scheduled viewings and entered my apartment with no notice while I was living there. I came home one afternoon to find that the apartment was not as I had left it (lights turned on, etc.), so I called to ask if she had been in the apartment while I was gone. I was right; she had entered and shown an apartment that day with no notice to its occupants. Yet rather than apologize for this explicit violation of her supposed showing policy, she spent the first several minutes of our phone call berating me for calling her "so late" in the evening. (It was 7 pm and within her stated window of availability, which is 8 am to 8 pm. This is not to mention, of course, that it was rather urgently important for me to know who had recently entered my home without my knowledge.) I have no reason to believe that Mari is a fundamentally dishonest person. But she is rude, unreliable, unprofessional, and negligent to the point of dishonestly. I would not recommend her services under any circumstances.
