I used this company for my wedding on 10-6-2019 in Staten Island, N.Y. Judge Suzanne Mondo officiated my ceremony and she was very pleasant and wonderful to work with prior to the ceremony and was timely and professional on the day of the actual ceremony, and wrote a beautiful speech, vows, etc., and also was organized and made sure we and our witnesses signed our marriage license before getting caught up in the festivities of the cocktail hour. We received our marriage certificate in the mail 11 days later so she didn't waste time mailing our signed license to the marriage bureau, which I also appreciated. This was a great way to make a small, no fuss wedding more special than what you would get at Borough Hall. Communication was smooth and swift through the planning process and Judge Marrus really clearly enjoyed talking to us and getting to know us so that he could officiate exactly the kind of ceremony we would like. An update: We just had Judge Marrus marry us in DC (they are able to perform ceremonies there as well), and it was amazing! My husband and I both agree that the ceremony was the best part of the day. Judge Marrus talked with us extensively before the wedding and it felt like he really "got" us and the low-key, yet dignified with a touch of goofy ceremony we wanted. We asked him to do a short, specific vow at the end of the ceremony but used the official vows he wrote for the main part of the ceremony and I'm so glad we did both. The vows Judge Marrus had us say were touching, modern and so well said - I was surprised at how much it moved me to say them during the wedding. Plus, Judge Marrus and his wife are so lovely, it felt like they were one of our guests. I can't recommend Judges for Love enough - we are so happy we chose them. read more
