I am incredibly disappointed with the scheduling oversight during my recent visit. I explicitly requested an appointment with Dr. Hammons, a request that was completely ignored by the front-desk staff without any warning or communication. Instead, I was blindsided and paired with Dr. Bibbs--a veterinarian I have had profoundly negative experiences with in the past and specifically avoid. As a natural doctor and nutritionist with 20 years of experience in holistic medicine, I treat highly sensitive, complex animals that do not fit into a conventional box. I came into this appointment looking for a professional collaboration. Instead, Dr. Bibbs met me with rigid resistance, an incredibly closed-minded approach to care, and unnecessary negativity regarding my dog's future, rather than giving the animal hope and a renewal at life. Multiple questions I specifically came in to get answered were completely ignored. I was also met with extreme pushback regarding aggressive vaccine protocols being forced for basic procedures, completely disregarding individualized, safer health approaches for highly sensitive animals. This clinic has wonderful practitioners--Dr. Hammons and Dr. Lockhart are excellent and open-minded--but Dr. Bibbs lacks basic empathy. Years ago, I dealt with her after my previous companion was misdiagnosed by another vet --a soul dog who was by my side through my darkest health battles--which tragically delayed his cancer diagnosis. She gave me attitude rolled her eyes when I wanted to do things as holistically as possible and that I just needed the right diagnosis. One medicine where it actually helps and doesn't suppress and mask the problem only to create a layer unhealed. To make a traumatic situation worse, while he was under, she unfeelingly asked me over the phone if I was "sure" I wanted her to wake him up so I could see him. My animals are in exceptional hands, and I have a proven track record of successfully healing situations the conventional system gives up on. I will continue to utilize the doctors at Judson Road who actually have a heart and an open mind, but I will never allow Dr. Bibbs to touch another animal of mine. The front-desk staff must do better to ensure explicit client requests are honored so owners are not blindsided this way. read more

The Vet gave my dog steroids when I told him both Vets from Gilmer, Tx said not to, he said it would not hurt but the dog of seven years died. I can't say no more , my bill was over 600 dollars. Shame. read more

They were so sweet and nice. Had to take my cat to emergency vet the night before and follow up with vet next day. We have started moving our animals from Kilgore to Longview vets. Our vet we use for the dogs didn't have Dr til 10 so they sent me to Judson Rd vet. Got us in quickly at 730 am and we're so thorough and sweet to our fat baby. Kitty was diagnosed with diabetes. The vet gave out puppy (suspected to be less than seven weeks old) Nexgard. Within six hours, he had a seizure and died. Not only is the medicine (pesticide) rated for puppies 8 weeks and older, it's killed too many other dogs for them to even consider selling it. Money over animals read more

This was our first time using the clinic and we could not be more pleased. The staff is professional and kind and seem to have some sort of 'Pet Whisperer' persona since every 'family member' we saw brought in for treatment was immediately in a 'safe place'. They took great care of our 12 year old red-heeler who IS a stranger to vets and he was perfectly at ease. Dr. Hounsel and the staff truly care about their patients and the patients 'pets' (humans). I have been using this clinic since 1991, before Dr Housel bought the business. Dr Ken and his staff have always been very professional and responsive over the years with the nine different dogs I've had during that time. Even to the point of giving me his personal number for a special problem. Not sure what happened to the poor puppy that died but Dr Ken has always steered me away from all the products containing poisons, he does not recommend them. I will say that I gave only four stars due to the fact I don't care much for the other equine vet in the office, he just doesn't seem to be as involved with the patients as Dr Housel. read more
