I never thought I would post a review for funeral flowers, but this is so important to get right to honor someone for the last time. Another florist was recommended through the funeral home, but I wanted something very specific and special. This arrangement was for my sister and I did not want to push a button on a website and say "this one works". I went into Judy's shop and Judy met directly with me. She took notes and drew some diagrams, we talked about the colors and the specific flowers that were some of my sister's favorites. First of all, Judy was very kind during my emotional conversation and led me through it with her gentle way. She made some suggestions and put a lot of thought into what would work and what might not realistically. Judy called me before she began creating this arrangement to touch base and then again afterward to tell me what an honor it was for me to allow her to create this important piece for my sister. You do not get that from just any florist - it surprised me and touched my heart. She is an artist and the arrangement was so beautiful, the care taken to make the gorgeous arrangement to surround the urn was immense. I am grateful beyond words and do not know how to convey enough how much I recommend Judys-Petals-and-Blooms. She is a small business owner and takes excellent care of her customers. Her prices are very comparable and I guarantee she does not cheat you with mostly filler versus flowers. I trusted her with the most important flowers I will ever order and she did not let me down. When I found out that my girlfriend was in the hospital and I couldn't be there in person, I immediately googled "same day flowers" and ordered her a dozen red roses that morning. I was surprised to find out that not only would the flowers NOT be delivered the same day, but the day after. When she sent me the picture of the bouquet, upon closer inspection I noticed that I did NOT in fact, get a dozen red roses, but 7 red roses and the rest of the bouquet filled with red carnations! I called the company to complain and was offered a 15% discount, but since the order was 50% wrong and not only 15% wrong, I expect my money to be refunded and hopefully Judy herself can contact me to make this right somehow. I will not be ordering from them again, and would strongly recommend that anyone consider ordering from another company. read more

Our wedding plans were derailed by the pandemic and we ended up having a backyard ceremony on Memorial Day weekend. I left organizing my flowers until 10 days before the ceremony and was so happy when Judy was able to work with us. My family and I had purchased flowers from her for previous occasions and they have always been beautiful. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and people could not stop complimenting them. Judy is a doll to work with! I live in the Houston area and was looking for a florist near my significant other's place to order flowers from for Valentine's Day. (Guys like flowers too ladies!) I found Judy and I am so glad I did! Luckily, I called a week and a half in advance for Valentine's and Judy was so helpful over the phone. I had a specific budget and idea in my head for the flowers regarding the colors and look. I wanted to make sure to incorporate his favorite color and mine in the arrangement. I wanted a blue vase to make it a little more masculine but adding the blue vase would put me over budget so I just went with a regular glass vase. (This plays into the experience later. ) Being that I was coming in from Houston I wasn't sure on the exact day or time but I knew I would be there on Valentine's Day by 4pm so I set my pick up time for then but was told the arrangements are made the day before. I ended up being able to pick up the arrangement Friday morning but when I called to confirm my arrangement wad ready I was told it hadn't been made yet. I was a little disappointed but I was told I would be called as soon as it was ready. Fourteen minutes later I get a call from Judy that it was ready for pick up and that she went ahead and put it in a blue vase for me because she knew it was really important to me. Truthfully, getting a call back that quickly made me think that Judy may have just slapped some flowers together and to appease me put it in a blue vase. This had me quite concerned as I am very particular about things especially if I am paying for it. The floral arrangement was BEAUTIFUL! I loved it! My boyfriend loved it!
