The store knew that about half of the items I ordered were unavailable, but no one bothered to call or contact me before I arrived at the store to pick up my order. I only found out about the unavailable items when I got there. Even more frustrating, the staff showed very little willingness to help resolve the situation. I was told they could not refund the unavailable items and that I would need to cancel or request a refund through the app, but they could not explain or show me how to do that. They also did not proactively offer any reasonable substitutions. I was simply told to choose something of the same value from the menu, but there were only about two items at the same price. If I chose anything else, I would have to pay the difference. I completely understand that items can become unavailable, but the store should have contacted me as soon as they knew, especially since this was an online pickup order. A simple phone call would have given me the opportunity to choose substitutes, change the order, or cancel it before making the trip to the store. What was most disappointing was the lack of communication and willingness to help. There seemed to be no effort to find a reasonable solution or make sure the customer was satisfied. I was basically left to deal with the problem myself after arriving at the store. Very poor customer service and a frustrating experience.
