I had many questions and she was understanding. We went from attending summer's only to my daughter becoming a member of the Perfoming Company. I trusted Ms. Tayo and her staff with the development and growth of my daughter as a dancer and a confident young lady. Ms. Tayo had always been approachable and has a big heart for the kids. She's very passionate about the arts and she will push your child to be their best. Over the years I have seen the staff change and maybe even some procedures. But the commitment to helping children be their best has remained a constant priority at Tayo Reed's PAC.

In terms of dance, her technique in modern, ballet, lyrical, and contemporary (her favorite genres) have drastically improved throughout the years. She was invited to attend a well-known performing arts high school in Atlanta and has continued her studies with Ms. Tayo while completing her first college degree. Ms. Tayo also helped my daughter boost her confidence level in terms of performing as well as in her personal and academic endeavors. Ms. Tayo has always made myself and my daughter feel like family, so much so that as a college student she and some of Ms. Tayo's former students who are now adults continue to frequent the school to assist Ms. Tayo with the younger students. The friendships she gained while participating in Ms. Tayo's program are unbreakable and it is a joy to see the students maintaining their relationship in their blossoming adult lives. My daughter has traveled with Ms. Tayo in dance competitions and a variety of other shows and had the pleasure of earning her first paycheck as a dancer when she assisted Ms. Tayo and her very talented band. It is unfortunate that the parent in a prior review had such a negative experience with Ms. Tayo's program. She works very hard to offer students on the southside of Atlanta opportunities to strengthen their performing arts skills that would otherwise not be afforded to them. She also works very hard to ensure that low to middle-income families are able to obtain good quality afterschool childcare and exposure to the performing arts at an EXTREMELY reasonable price. I will continue to support her in all of her future endeavors.

Depending on what kind of night you want, this could be a good starting point or a good ending. If you're in this part of the city, it's a good spot to hit up, but I'm usually not at this part of the city, so it was new to me. The parking lot is free, and they have a couple of the things in that shopping area, so you can actually go eat and then go do a show and then maybe go to the cigar bar as well, all while your parking for free. I actually didn't eat when I went, but I had wine. I guess that speaks for itself. The wine comes out of the bottle, and it's not like it's mixed as a cocktail, so it's either really good or really bad lol. The service was okay, but it felt like for a little bit they forgot about the table. At first it didn't seem like there was a lot of organization with the servers, because multiple servers came up asking if we had been helped. That was a thing. At least the servers were really nice, even though timeliness wasn't the best. Now I'm not saying that to rain on anybody's parade as far as servers go, because customer service is important, but there was a while where we were sitting there wondering what was happening. Every server that came and talked to us and the people who seated us were super nice and very friendly and very professional, though, so I need to state that. Could have been an off night, not a big deal, but I would go back because the service wasn't bad, but I wanted to note that and be honest. Now, the main event here was the entertainment. The entertainment was awesome. I have no complaints about that young lady who was singing; she was stellar. The band was an absolute vibe. They kept it rocking for the entire set. If you see the videos, you know what I'm talking about. They're going from Anita Baker to Patricia Russian to Chad. They hit a lot of notes that will make you nod your head and tap your feet. It was interactive, somewhat, and they had really good crowd control. It was an awesome show the last time that I went, and I would go back just for the show itself. Again, see the videos in my review, and you'll see that they tore the house down. Overall, if you want a decent spot that will give you great entertainment, this is a really good choice. They have a number of performers and artists and bands that play, so you have to check and see when they're going to be there, but at the same time, you should be happy at whatever show you make it to.

The group consisted of a trio of ladies: Amber (violin), Sarah (viola), and Juli (cello). It wasn't until after the party that I learned this ensemble is actually a quartet. I guess they were down one member for our event, but it's not like I could tell. The group set up inside the museum's exhibition hall during the cocktail portion of our party. They later moved to the atrium when dinner was served. In total, I believe they played for four straight hours (6pm-10pm). I'm not a musician, but that seems like a long time. Kudos to them. During cocktail hour, I was immediately struck by and impressed with the quality of their music. They sounded really good and very professional. They received multiple compliments from various guests throughout the evening. After their performance, I learned the musicians have various day jobs. For example, Sarah assists in eye surgery and Juli, a fellow engineer from Georgia Tech, works in QA. Amber and Sarah met in college at Reinhardt. Talk about a talented group. Amber, Sarah, and Juli played mostly Christmas tunes for our party. Their music really set the mood for what turned out to be a classy, sophisticated, elegant, and fun evening at the museum. It wouldn't have been the same without them. Thanks, guys! I remember standing outside the chapel waiting for our procession...and chills ran through my body as I heard the intro to our special music. As soon as we walked into the chapel I heard the most beautiful, heavenly sound played by Amber and her team. Prior to the wedding, Amber, my husband and I discussed our music list for the wedding in great detail. She patiently listened as we described to her the ambiance that my husband and I were going for. Amber proved to be super knowledgeable and she gave us song ideas that we didn't even think about but fit perfectly with our themes --- a true sign of a professional! At the end of the wedding day, many of our friends and family told us how much they enjoyed Amber and her team's performance. You can't go wrong choosing Cobalt Strings... our guests were so impressed that they are actually booking Amber and her team for their upcoming events.
