Additionally, the interaction didn't feel very personable or attentive. I felt that my concerns weren't fully acknowledged, and even after expressing that I understood certain points, the explanations continued in a way that felt repetitive rather than helpful. What stood out most to me was that Dr. Amin M. made multiple comments about my teeth in a way that felt more aligned with general dentistry rather than orthodontics. This came across as unnecessary and somewhat out of scope for the consultation I was seeking, which made the experience feel less focused and less professional. That said, I do want to note that the front desk staff was wonderful, very polite, respectful, and welcoming. They made a great first impression. Almost 2 years in, after several visits in a row where he kept extending her debracing date (and her teeth kept getting MORE crooked) we finally went for a consultation with another orthodontist who was completely baffled by Underwood's treatment. We requested a partial refund, (which was only granted after a horribly unprofessional interaction with Dr. Underwood) we got new braces put on and less than 4 months later (about 9 months sooner than Dr. Underwood's constantly changing timeline) my daughter was able to have her braces removed.

I live in Pearland,Tx and her office is in Spring, Tx which is a 58 minute drive which is worth every minute and second of the drive. The state of the art office and the wonderful staff made it very comfortable for me. I forgot I was having my tooth pulled. All that week prior to my appointment , I tried to cancel and Dr.Jackson talked me through the entire process on a daily basis what I would expect before and after the procedure. The day of I was so nervous she told me anytime during the process we can take a break she just wanted me to be comfortable. Well the procedure was successful wonderful I had no pain and I didn't have to take any pain medicine at all. To say the least I have found my new Dentist thank you Dr. Jackson.

I came to WSC because the Made You Smile oral surgeon had no openings for a month. We went through the initial consultation and had the surgery the following Saturday morning- no time missed from work MYS quoted me $377 and WSC did the same procedure for $240. The receptionist, Anita, was very nice and helpful. Dr. Bruce took time to answer all of our questions prior to surgery and went over in great detail the post operation instructions. My 17 year old daughter was an absolute wreck by the time she made it to the chair and Dr. Bruce's bedside manner went a long way in alleviating her anxieties. My overall feeling is that WSC did not overcharge or take advantage. I would highly recommend for oral surgery.

I was brought here as a kid, and my experience initially seemed positive. Unfortunately, two very…read moreserious things happened during my treatment that still greatly upset me. First: I have what's sometimes called a "gummy smile." The orthodontist strongly pushed a cosmetic laser procedure to remove gum tissue. I initially considered it, but after discussing it with my dad, I realized I didn't want a cosmetic procedure, especially for something that wasn't medically necessary and wasn't something that aesthetically bothered me. When I told the orthodontist that I didn't want the surgery, I was told, *"It's not up to you,"* along with a glare. Being told as a child that I had no say in whether a cosmetic medical procedure would be done to my body was extremely distressing and it's a vivid memory to this day. Now that I'm an adult, I've never had a single medical issue related to my gums, which reinforces that it truly wasn't necessary. Second, and the issue that still bothers me the most: My canines were shaved down without my knowledge or consent. At the time, the orthodontist told me he was simply removing extra glue. Later I realized he had actually reshaped my canines, removing a distinctive feature of my smile that I really loved. I was never asked about this beforehand, and it was only apparent after the procedure had already been done. As an adult, those teeth are also more sensitive than they used to be. Parents, if you bring your kids here, please pay very close attention to what procedures are being done and make sure everything is clearly explained beforehand. Patients, especially younger ones, deserve to be informed and have their concerns respected! If shaving down my teeth to change their look was necessary for my bite, that should have been something discussed with me instead of a mumbled "just tidying things up" while the drill is going. The only real way to fix what happened would be cosmetic reconstruction of the teeth, which would cost hundreds of dollars. Unfortunately, that's not something I expect this office will take responsibility for.
