The hygienist chipped the bonding again during that cleaning and they repaired a few days later. Went today for cleaning and the hygienist chipped the bonding again and it's being blamed on me "clenching" my teeth. I've never been a clenched or grinder. They won't get me in to repair for weeks and they acted like they did nothing wrong. Why is it only breaking when your office cleans my teeth? So the search for a new dentist begins again. Before I realized the chip had happened everyone had been nice and polite, but pointing out the chip happened in office made everyone blame me.

My daughter and I have been going there about 3-years…read more We have never seen the same hygienist twice and all have stressed all the negative things you 'might' have wrong, rather than give the exam, and wait for results. The first few visits we had the same dentist and liked her, but she left, and we learned (from staff) they have high turnover. We had routine appointments scheduled months 4-months ago; the practice needed to reschedule us due to vacations the soonest they could get us in was next week - I have a family emergency and need to be out of town next week and called to reschedule. I was told it will be another 6 months before we can be rescheduled. I canceled the appointments and am looking for another dentist.

He was late…read moretwice, which forced me to reschedule, and his office also canceled another appointment the same day because Dr. Hooper 'had something come up.' That was just the beginning of the problems. Dr. Hooper placed two implants for me, and both have been problematic. One has large gaps in front and behind the tooth, which causes food to constantly get trapped. The other implant is still painful and uncomfortable when I chew. I also told him repeatedly about sensitivity in two other teeth -- one in the lower right quadrant (sensitive to hot and cold) and one in the upper right quadrant (sensitive to cold). Despite bringing this up on three separate visits, he insisted nothing was wrong. I tried to be patient and give him the chance to make things right, but I finally left Gentle Dental and went to another dentist. At my very first appointment, the new dentist immediately identified the problems with my sensitive teeth and scheduled the first procedure to correct them. He also told me that one of Dr. Hooper's implants will likely need to be reworked. I am so disappointed in Dr. Hooper that I feel it's my duty to warn others. His repeated lateness, dismissiveness, and poor-quality work show a lack of competence and professionalism. Stay away from Dr. Hooper. Heed my warning ."

I was referred to Dr. Wong by an old colleague when we were stationed here the first time. I don't keep in touch with that colleague anymore, so it's funny how life works. She connected me with them and I loved my time with them from the last time so much that I looked them up again this time around, even though we don't live as close to them as we used to, I've chosen them to be my dentist again. I could have easily gone to the dentists downstairs from my ortho for convenience, but I don't mind the drive. They've gotten a new look with a refresh of the logo, more visible on the building. They are right next to the Car Spa. I'm so happy to find my previous dental hygienist, Tricia, is still there too. She is absolutely fantastic and she always makes you feel at ease. Edwin is always so helpful with any insurance questions. I had to get some extractions done at the end of last year in preparation for my braces. Dr. Wong did a great job. I went back for a cleaning for the first time with the braces on recently and Tricia was great. You're most likely going to see both docs, depending on what day you're in because the parents take days off now. It's nice to see the the mom and dad taking some time off from the practice! They are old school and Anne will call you the day before to remind you of your appointment, so that's nice. The email would probably get lost in my inbox. I love that they still call people LOL. It's like I never left. They treat you like a part of their extended family. If you are looking for a new dentist, pay them a visit! Stay safe, Friends~

The dental assistant who took my X-rays (I'm assuming that's what it's called) came out to get me and was super kind and easy to talk to. She explained everything as we went and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. After the imaging, Dr. Hernandez came in and went over everything they found. I honestly don't remember ever having a dentist be that thorough. He took his time, explained things clearly, and made sure I understood what was going on and had all my questions answered. I have been terrified of the dentist for some time. Kind of like the car dealership, you have a go-between who talks billing and insurance with you away from the nurse and dentist. It's discrete and comfortable without pressure. My nurse (dental hygienist) was Susan? Or Sandy? God she was an angel. She was so kind to me breaking down and upset and in pain. She made me feel so comfortable talking about stuff and offering anything I might need. My dentist was Dr Taylor who was incredibly knowledgeable and proficient. I got out what needed to come out and I even scheduled an appointment for regular maintenance later this month. I was made comfortable to be there, whether I needed nitrous or a valium, either are available. And they make sure you are physically comfortable with numbing. Mentally comfortable is hard, but true kindness shines through in the folks who work there. I got a kids "reward" (shark plushie) to hold while I had my procedure. When I left I got a "goodie bag" with full instructions on what I had done, extra gauze, and an emergency card. It's a little hinky getting in with the road construction on witchduck road. But soon as your turn on Grayson, by the church, it's there. There's an employee entrance on the witchduck side and another saying Ste 200 on the side, even though the dentist is Ste 100, this is the door you go in.

However, at my next appointment for a root canal, things took a turn for the worse. I informed the hygienist and dentist up front/before this procedure that I was having issues breathing through my nose due to allergies and was scared because breathing through my mouth during a root canal would be difficult. Annoyed they told me I can reschedule for 6 months later or just deal with it. Since I was in pain, I went ahead with it. Well, that was a huge mistake! During the root canal, the dentist & hygienist LEFT ME with my mouth WIDE OPEN (root canal apparatus) for 45 MINUTES! Since I was breathing through my open mouth and only my mouth as my nose was completely blocked up, which made my throat and mouth was SO dry I thought I was going to die. I couldn't swallow or wet my mouth. It was completely dried out which made it harder by the second to breathe. And they just left me there - laying back, staring at the ceiling, unable to produce saliva, not able to breathe through my nose, with a plastic apparatus keeping my mouth wide open the whole time, drying out more and more each second. I couldn't talk. I couldn't breathe. After 45+ minutes of this with NO staff checking on me, I was scared for my life. For months, I had nightmares about this! The ONLY reason I'm sharing my experience here is so that someone else won't have to go through what I went through.
