I was waiting for my tires to be replaced. I got hungry and walked across the street and saw Julie's kitchen. I went in and found out that it's a Filipino - Hawaiian restaurant. When you look up on the menu, it's pretty bare. The full menu is on the print out on the left hand side. This is a pretty small place. It can sit around 10ish dine in customers. I am not sure if the ac works or not. It feels a bit warm inside. Since it's a Filipino restaurant, I automatically asked for Halo Halo. It's quite refreshing.

Picadillo and sweet and sour spareribs

Located in such a decrepit plaza this gem is a standout. Constant traffic, many in the military, so their efforts are not lost. With a daily changing selection it's difficult to choose between items. This time we went with picadillo, sweet and sour spareribs and pancit. All delicious with plenty of sauce for the rice. Julie is hustling serving everyone coming through the door, but always greeting each new customer and thanking us as we leave. This small, counter service diner is nothing fancy, but great food at a good value.

A little bit drive from Monument but 100% worth the drive. It is located in a small strip mall. All local kine foods. As the restaurant seemed busy with a lot locols now about this place. Little seemed to enjoy the Mac salad h even ate all mine. I ordered the shiracha chicken and he had musibi and chicken katsu. All the food was delicious and brought us back to the island. The owners even came by to talk story with us. We will for sure be making this a go to stop next time we are in the area. Much aloha!

This review is NOT based on service at all, the staff was very very friendly and the place had good vibes. There was also a lot of seating. The food is pretty bad. The lechoń had potential but ZERO flavor, not even salt. It was also pretty dry, that had the best flavor though. The lumpia was terrible, the filling was just off and probably not the freshest... The spam was also just strange, way too much rice that was just gloopy and lacked flavor too. I would not return here unfortunately. Good vibes and menu but execution is not there at all...

A small unassuming business that has very good poke bowls. I will be back. I thought they were a little expensive, but definitely good quality and a decent amount of food. It came with poke, steamed rice, and a sweet teriyaki sauce over cabbage (I think). The lady who took my order wasn't thrilled to assist or answer questions... still though... good fish.

Amazinggggg food. It's a mom and pop shop with THE BEST poke and Lechon I've ever had. It's my #1 go to restaurant in Colorado Springs now. I had the chance to meet Julie the owner of Julie's Kitchen and she was so nice and warm. She walked me through the menu and made some recommendations. They have a good selection of Hawaiian and Filipino food which is pretty rare to find in Colorado itself. Saw some locals dining in and everyone looked happy there. 10/10 recommend visiting this place if you're in town

I really wanted to like this place, especially with the high rating. But it just wasn't that good. We ordered a plate with 2 sides (lechon and pork adobo), lumpia, and a ube mochi dessert. I did appreciate how crispy the lechon was but the pork adobo was so salty that it was inedible. The lumpia is ok, overly greasy and nothing special. The only item worth coming back for was the ube mochi. Maybe the other items on their menu is better, but from this experience I don't think I'll be coming back.

Hands down, one of the BEST meals I have ever had. So delicious that I had to come out of Yelp reviewing retirement to give proper accolades immediately after consuming my meal. Just moved here from CA a week ago and am beyond stoked to have located such a good local spot that will already become one of our regulars in our takeout rotation. I have been to Hawaii several times and taking a bite of this food transported me back there. Haven't had Hawaiian food this good since I was literally in Hawaii. Love that it's a local mom & pop place with a laidback vibe and kind workers! Everything was super flavorful and sooo tasty! Even the spam musubi was top notch with the crisp seaweed, sauce and furikake. Very generous portions for the combination plates! Here's what we ordered: * Spam Musubi * Corned Beef Fried Rice * Chicken Katsu & Kalua Pork Combination Plate * Loco Moco & Korean Chicken Combination Plate * Pandan Bibingka

They just reopened today and their food was so good! Me and my wife just moved here from Hawaii and we missed the Filipino and Hawaiian food. The two workers were so friendly and the service was perfect! It felt like home in there and everyone was so nice! I just wish it was in a safer area but besides that it was perfect! 10/10 I will most definitely be coming back!

I spent 3 years in Hawaii and this is the best spot I've found in COS to get Hawaiian food! Super nice folks that own and operate the restaurant. Very good food! Lots of delicious options. My gf got the Musubi and loved it. The kiddo got the teriyaki chicken and we didn't hear a peep out of her while we were eating. Definitely go check this place out!

Stopped by since I was in the area and craving local hawaiian style food. Limited section in the hot choices mostly just filipino style food. Got hawaiian food options in the menu as well. Opted for a 1 choice with pork adobo. Just like back home style with the peppercorns. Little on the sweeter side however. Pork was good lots of meat for just 1 choice. Little fat pieces but most pork adobo uses pork belly so common Service is ok, small mom and pop. Owner was going at it with a customer for some reason but I didn't bother me. If I'm polite and treat them with respect and they do the same for me it's all good. If not I'll just walk.

Amazing food! I had the pork belly that was crispy and delicious! Serving sizes were large and filled up my 21 or old son.

She told me she had already talked with her staff yesterday and agreed that the chicken was dry, and said she would fix it. I really appreciate businesses that take feedback the way she did instead of getting offended when the feedback is genuinely well-intended. Thank you so much! Raising my review back to 5 stars. :) Update #1: I feel bad having to drop a star, but I've noticed a consistent issue lately. Whenever I've ordered the BBQ chicken, it's been really dry/overcooked. I genuinely love the flavors here and the value is great, but the doneness of the chicken can make or break the dish. Please consider adjusting the cook on the chicken. When they're cooked properly and stay moist, it's an amazing meal. I really want this place to keep being one of my favorites, but this has been hard to ignore. Original review: I've been to Hafa Adai a few times now, and the food is delicious! I especially love the BBQ chicken and the dipping sauce that comes with it. My only complaint is their hours - they're a bit awkward. My husband doesn't get off work until 3, but they close at 3 on both Wednesday and Thursday. Plus, they're closed three days a week, which makes it tricky to find a good time to go.

So being in Colorado Springs, Rudy's was calling. Ordered half pound of moist brisket, 1/4 lb pulled pork, Cole slaw, corn on the cob, banana pudding, and peach cobbler. The order taker was very nice and polite and ordering was quick and easy. There was a bar with pickles, onions, jalapeños, etc. regular and sissy sauce at the table(you don't need it on the brisket). The Cole slaw..well it was Cole slaw. My wife loved the corn on the cob. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful. The brisket was just amazing. Juicy, tender without being mushy, and a deep Smokey flavor. And the bark...my lord....so delicious. I was very very happy. Def in a moist brisket coma afterwards. Only disappointment was the deserts. Not very good. Wife did not like the banana pudding and the cobbler crust had zero crunch..like it was soft. I probably would not order that again. But overall super happy! You guys ever want to put one in Los Angeles or OC? Other out of states chains have done well...notably Portillos (Chicago based beef sandwich chain) in Buena Park. You'd blow everyone else out of the water(though I haven't tried Heritage in South OC).

It sounded like a perfect detour to fix my craving. I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be authentic but my concerns disappeared immediately when I stepped inside. The diners were mostly Filipino and most of the employees were Filipino as well. All the food was amazing! I had the lechon kawali (fried pork belly with Java rice) and it was so good especially with the sauce. The pork belly was super crispy! It could be a bit bland without the sauce so I highly recommend it having the dish with it. The longsilog (sweet garlic pork sausage) was exactly what you would expect for the dish. The service was good and the cashier was very patient and answered all my questions. I devoured the food! Why I don't give it 5 stars? Service! First they charge a "hospitality " fee but there are no servers taking orders...instead you walk up and order fast food restaurants style. And my pet peeve among Asian restaurants, they never give you the appetizers BEFORE the actual meal. The term appetizers is misleading here! Which just annoys me. Realistically, the restaurant is no better than a food truck or street vendor with indoor seating. If you like service that is precise and exacting...worth of a mandatory 3% hospitality fee...that knows certain items come first this place frustrates. For good Filipino food! This is the place. Will I come back, maybe when I'm in the area again and for me that says a lot about their sarap food !
